Will.i.am, Mark Zuckerberg, and Chris Bosh (and others) say you should learn code

So what's your thoughts on this?

  • While this video was definitely inspiring and I really do think everyone should know code, I'm not so sure those "perfect" jobs are all that common. I've heard a LOT of stories about code-monkeys getting pretty low wages and working long hours. In the end though, knowing code and being good at code are two different things, so long as your proficient and good at what you do you can get a good job.

      I'm already studying computer science. This just provided motivation for me. Do it guys! Its fun...and hard at times....

    • "Coding" is the boring part of programming or software development. I would argue that being a better problem solver is more important, but I suppose many of those problems can be naturally formulated in the context of programming challenges such as [url]http://projecteuler.net/[/url]. I guess I would caution against getting attached to any one type of language or technology or you might lose sight of what's actually important (and fun, imo) and end up with war crimes like PHP.
