I think both solo players and group players will have enjoyable experiences in Destiny, with the same end-game. While yes, you'll be able to quickly amass a stockpile of quality gear faster than a solo player, solo players do have an advantage of their own. That advantage lies in experience. You and your group may be able to clear a dungeon in one try, but with the several tries it will take that solo player he/she will learn effective and efficient ways to take down enemies on their own. You'll have help throughout your journey, but he/she won't. This will force the solo player to innovate and think of ways to go about things that a group player wouldn't. Will it be a more difficult path for the solo player? Yes, but that will only make the solo player tougher. It'll be cool to see solo players able to clear boss level dungeons on their own, helping out struggling groups on their way to the loot. But this goes both ways, It'll also be interesting to see groups of players provide that same player with assistance as they attempt to clear a dungeon. I plan to play solo most of the time, and I know it'll be a lot more difficult than playing with a group, but I enjoy the challenge. Overall, I think both ways of play are going to be extremely fun, and provide experiences we haven't seen in gaming before.
