World History
I need to choose a history topic for a big project. I will be studying and presenting information about this topic over the next couple of months. I was told to choose a subject on any history in the past 500 years. I don't know much about history so I thought I would ask the flood (or whats left of it now that bungie.next came along) what is an interesting history topic that I could use? (I was told I should pick a fairly broad topic but not too broad which isn't very specific but a good example of a topic would be a person or a type of person although its not restricted to that)

His armies had arrow proof armour, and i forget the exact number, but there're a crap load of people who can trace their lineage back to him, and his empire was the largest this world has ever seen.

I think the changes of the standard of living in the US because of rivalry between the USSR is pretty interesting. Once the Soviet Union collapsed, I think that the standard of living in the US has not climbed much especially compared to the post-WWII era, but then again I never did an in depth study of this.

That or an extensive study on the war in North Africa and Italy during World War 2. All very awesome topics. Maybe something concentrating on Erwin Rommel or George Patton?

Talk about the few good things that came out of the Na zi Regime. V2 rocket being the basis for rockets Russian and the US use to launch stuff into space. The autobahn influencing the US interstate system. Few other things, can't remember right now.
