Technically, we already have "top topics" when you order by "Popular".

But this isn't solely based on likes, it's also based on how many people recently answered to it. This let's threads disappear quite fast if no one replies to them for a few days.

  • This is correct. Sorting by "Popular" is pretty much what "Top Topics" used to be. Top Topics was calculated based on how many people saved that thread, popular uses likes. As for saved threads, a display showing you the threads you've liked would probably serve this purpose well. Maybe.

  • 'Maybe' indeed. To be honest, I would rather still have a separate thing. I don't know if you plan to make 'likes' visible to people, but I've thrown out 'likes' a LOT more casually than I save threads. I'd still like something for those special threads I REALLY like, personally. Just my thoughts.

  • Well, to be clear, your recent likes are already on your profile page. What I'm talking about would just make a better display for them. I'm loathe to introduce a new system, because likes are tied into the notification system quite nicely, and we want that to continue. Anyway, I'm not sure what the final form will be, but we are thinking about the old Saved Threads tool and what we might have lost there. We'll see how things develop.

Started a new topic: This is why the current structure for replies doesn't work...(25 Replies))
