The British army, when I'm older. I'm thinking of joining the cadets for experience (and they get to use guns which is cool) and doing it for work experience. Thing is my parents will probably go to full lengths to stop me. Any ideas on what to do?

Become an army technician/electrician or something like that, something that teaches skills applicable outside of the army.

First of all congratulations for wanting to serve your country. It's an amazing thing to do. I was in your situation my parents REALLY did not want me to join, but they were ok for me to be an Army Officer. I qualified and passed the selection and got the scholarship, but it came in late so I didn't get to join. Some tips would be have an educated person in the Army talk to your parents how the Army has helped their life.

The cadets? I don't think you can join them for work experience. Once you're in, you're in. And if you honestly want to join for the guns, you're probably not mature enough either.

If you are younger than 15 just keep doing what you are doing. chances are you will have a totally different idea of what you want to do by the time you are 18

If an English prince, with their mangled DNA from centuries of marrying within the family can do it, anyone can.

Waste of time trust me. Set your mind to something much better and better suiting to yourself. I mean there are thousands of way cooler jobs and this way you won't support the Military Industrial Complex. But if you are set on it, do it.
