Yes, the female is historically the most socially oppressed of the two (err, biological) genders, but isn't misandry as much a social wrong as misogyny? Why not use a more neutral term, like gender-egalitarians or something similar?
I'm sure this is a common question, but I don't think I've personally ever seen a solid defense of the term. Is it just social-inertia keeping it in use? Because that'd be kinda ironic.

feminism =/= women wanting equality feminist = insane women that blame men for everything Proof? Read about that feminist that wanted all men castrated.

Feminism isn't gender equality.

Anyone who knows petard knows to take his threads with eighteen and a half grams of sodium chloride
halite, too
not sure it rather retarded. Fight for equal rights just say you want equal rights why give it a defining name or term. Why just have equal rights for women why not for minorities or child soliders etc.

Edited by Wyldfyre: 1/28/2013 2:44:18 AMFirst off, it's sex. One of two sexes, providing you ignore intersex. Transsexualism isn't a sex or gender. It's also a whole other level of shitstormery so don't get me started. Secondly, it's called "feminism" because males have already set the benchmark for social standards. To do the equalising, it's almost all on the female side of society to reach that benchmark or take the males down. According to that social model, raising female standing and equality to that of males is the more appropriate. At least, that's how I understand it.
-
Double Standard society on both sexes. The only thing I can see that's not really equal yet is that women make a little bit less than a man when they do the exact same job.
-
Because right now genders are pretty equal. I can't think of anything that men are allowed to do that woman aren't allowed to do that isn't supported by logic. Yet woman still believe they are being given the short end of the stick. They are called feminists.

Feminazis aren't gender equality
