Your account was made in 2012 so this was way before your time, but I assure you you are wrong in your implication. They were forums FOR files. Just like the Flood was a forum FOR random discussion. Then the forums were removed so if you want to have those same threads, you had to look for tags of look in the overall discussion. Then each file had its own thread. But the search categories were, essentially, forums, as now.

I've had an account since 2006 but I changed it since my username was stupid. I know what I'm saying. Also what I'm saying is that having tags for a FORUM, (which the new set up isn't coincidentally) is completely different than tags on files. #YOLO #SWAG #YOLOSWAG #SWAGYOLO

  • Why would you say it is different. Let's use two examples. Flood Forum > Thread about Cheese > Forum Removed > Thread about Cheese sent into a jumble of a every threads > to find Cheese Thread, search for it by its tags > if it has no tags, find it by just looking at all files Map Forum > Thread about Map1 > Forum Removed > Thread about Map1 sent into a jumble of every file > to find Map1 Thread, search for it by its tags > if it has no tags, find it by just looking at all files It is, quite seriously, the EXACT same thing that happened with files. There is literally no difference.

  • I think some people just don't quite understand yet how everything works and just call it dumb without fully learning about the new system. Searching for tags can feel like a random mess at first but if you follow #Flood then you'll get #Flood posts, they will be listed from newest to oldest just like in the old forums (as long as you select the 'Latest' option). Its not any different then it was before except now it is a million times easier to find things you're interested in.
