Forerunner and a Prophet

Welcome to my mother of all thread (thus far). For those of you who are familiar with my previous posts on the topic, this is new stuff. I have handpicked several passages from The Word. They're quite frightening at how they are [i]appearently[/i] coincidental... Or I'm just crazy (I like both answers). [i]If anyone would like a list of the passage titles, simply PM me for them and I'll be more than happy to send 'em your way.[/i]

I understand that some (if not, most or all of you) do not believe as I believe. But for all of you skeptics out there, please try to answer these questions:
[color=yellow]Where else do you hear about the Flood wiping out entire populations? Where else do you hear about the Prophets of the Covenant? Where else do you hear about the Reclaimer bringing salvation to mankind?[/color]

Man great theory, I can't believe I never saw any kind of connection between reading my Bible and playing Halo. I saw the connection with The Lord of the Rings. I can't say The Matrick though, since I only saw the first one and never really cared for it.

I'm not sure which part of the name [i]Jericho 7[/i] is more important. Either the number or the place name. UPDATE: I have found a passage that may relate to drones... that is, what I imagine they'd look like. I haven't seen 'em very clearly, only in the 60 second commercial. But this could help... Really good find, almost all the good stories these days have biblical allusions ('specially matrix, those that say that the last two suck didin't get them or are way too cynical). I don't have a bible (not atheist or agnostic, long story), so I can't really look for quotes, but really interesting the parallelism that';s showing.

good job those are very good points, it has been done over and over again the bible is the number one resource for great story's. The matrix,lord of the rings and many others have used concepts from the bible to portray there story and i have no doubt halo is doing the same. well done

Thanks Iceweasel. I don't believe I was the one that came up with the neural pattern problem, but I [u]did[/u] continue on with it, and elaborate on it. :) Now that I see your posts are from the Bible, I am starting to like your theory a lot more. I (As crazy as it may seem due to my name being Chaplain..) am an atheist, but it [i]does[/i] bring up a good point, from where you stand, the storyline DOES hold many biblical references in it, and using scriptures from the bible, makes your theory A LOT more valid. Good work Ice, and don't listen to the flame.. heh, after all the most hated Chaplain (And probably most over-all hated) here on bungie.net, has made a come back from all the flames. Let them do their own thing. ;) Chaplain.

as for the matrix part, (the first matrix) at first people only saw really awesome camera angles and gunfights. however, some people saw the symbolism right from the start. as the trilogy progressed, more and more obvious and blatent messages popped up so that the mentally challenged could understand the symbolism. from the merovingian calling neo a savior and calling seraph (which is also the name of a type of angel) Judas (the betrayer). also in the end there are three bright crosses. Anyway, that was off topic. any other questions?

The ones describing the elites are from the book of Ezekiel. The ones of the Covenant war taken to them is from Daniel, and the seige of Earth is from the books of Matthew and Revelation.
