IWHBYD Pathway revealed?
Ok, i think I know how to get it, or at least start us off in the right direction, but its extremely complicated:
Ok, at the very beginning of "The covenant", run past the enemies and aim your spartan laser at the anti-air wraith tank. Shot it dead so that the Hornet that spawns flys around in a large circle. Proceed to kill the enemies around you.
Next, when all the enemies are dead, equip yourself with two plasma pistols. Here's where it gets hard. You must time your shot correctly so that the hornet falls closest to the canyon wall. I was able to do it once. On the second try now, very difficult.
When your charged shot hits the hornet, the hornet should power down and begin decending. continue firing charged shots at it so that it does not repower.
When it hits the ground (it needs to hit the ground as if it were landing), jump onto its roof. If you do not do this, then the hornet will flip itself and you will die. You cannot enter the cockpit, you must be on the roof.
Now, the hornet should fly upwards if you shot it at the right spot. It will fly above the canyon wall which you shoudl now jump on. Upon jumping on the canyon wall go right. This is as far as I got. I went left which turned out to be the wrong way to go, causing me to do it again!
You cannot shoot the driver out of the cockpit, and the hornet ALWAYS spawns. There is never a time when it does not. I am currently doing it on normal difficulty.

Just throwin a couple things out there as well. if i found a skull, i wouldnt bother talking to you seeing as you are more interested in disproving me than helping. Second, calling someone a "kid" doesn't make you any more mature or cool if that's what you were aiming for and third, I'm not making stuff up. Im basing this off numerous users saying that a code was leaked and claimed legit. if anyone made anything up then its the people who found that "code". Have a nice night.

Boondock, I'm not too sure what you mean by over "the mountain" but I did manage to jump up and run around and eventually drop down to have Keyes and Johnson say that the MC and the Arbiter were headed to the second... and as for the three yellow dots, I found those as well. I just didn't stock up enough ammo to take out the ghosts easily enough. I'll let you know what I find.

Try activating every single skull in the game, on legnedary and get the one on cortana, EIther that or just search places obvious but you wouldnt think about them [Edited on 09.27.2007 1:34 AM PDT]

Some people should go check the citadel, probably after truth is killed. Running out of that place is so hectic with the flood everywhere, it would be the perfect place to hide a skull, and the code says "Citadel".

There are three 'larger' yellow dots that eventually seperate into about 5 or 6, and the fish regenerate. I don't think that has anything to do with it, but fish coming up as friendlies on radar is strange. Something to do with fish perhaps? Water? Let's find out.

If this is the true path, would Bungie go as far as to force you to down a Hornet and get on it, reach a certain spot on the map, then walk some ways there? It is very probable, but seems unlikely to me. [Edited on 09.27.2007 1:39 AM PDT]

To end my argument, someone just needs to link where BUNGIE debunked the skull on cortana. Also, the hex code you are looking at, if the level name has changed, what makes you think the rest is accurate? Is that hex from the final game, or leaked epsilon code? I merely asked for confirmation, and the op has been either too lazy or unable to provide any. If you can't back up an argument, its not really an argument is it.

By the way guys, I starred in the very first youtube video of 8/9 gold skulls [nick is me mate]. I have been looking for this skull for over a week, and when I get home from work, I WILL be combing covenant. I just don't think it is there......

lets say it is on the covenant, they do say when you find it, its like a slap in the face.... so would'nt it be rather to easy to find but we just dont recognize it or its right in the area we spawn or on one of the marines that rolls up , in a tree. ... something.

I would say check that out and the citadel. The fish comming up as friendlies is very very interesting, and really stood out to me. Looking around while the flood are on your side and then off your side would be good too, but I think there's more to it than simply running around finding it without cuing some kind of event.

Would make sense with Johnson, but I dont think he can be killed, seeing as hes needed later in the story. Check him later in the story after fighting you know who in the last level and see if there;s anything too it. Me and my friend searched everything in the Halo level (except the warthog escape) and found absolutely nothing.

I've got an interesting idea that no one has yet mentioned. If you read the October 07 OXM, they mention what could be a "cryptic hint". I'ts on page 25 and says "The demo concluded with a beach confrontation, where a friendly Pelican carrying Sergeant Johnson was attempting to land but was forced down by Banshees and minigun-entrenched Covies. After O'Connor cleared the minigun on the dock and picked off sniping jackals perched on the cliffs towering over the opposite riverbank, he stepped into and [i] under [/i] the water. (Was this an accident or a cryptic hint?)" Not much to go on, I know. I think it may even be the wrong level, sounds kinda like the very first level. Anyways, thats all I got.

Does anyone have a list of what skulls are on which level? I just wanna know which skull is where, I don't care for a list on how to find them, just what level they're located on. That'll give me a better idea. As far as this is going, I have a feeling it's somewhere at the bottom of Tower 1 on The Covenant. [Edited on 09.27.2007 1:48 AM PDT]

What about the Monitor talking about the installation being Forerunner, and then saying that the MC is Forerunner... that's also the level where Johnson dies, which would make him saying "Who's your daddy?" become "I would have been your daddy."
