United Nations dissing US?

I got this off Yahoo news site: Just hours after a series of explosions in London, the U.N. Security Council voted unanimously Thursday to condemn the terrorist attacks and vowed to bring those responsible to justice. Secretary-General Kofi Annan echoed that sentiment, "These vicious acts have cut us all to the core, for they are an attack on humanity itself," Annan said in a statement. "Today, the world stands shoulder to shoulder with the British people." The council expressed sympathy for the victims of the four blasts that rocked London earlier Thursday. Police said at least 37 people were killed in the explosions and hundreds injured. Now after reading that it gets me thinking.. 4 bombs that killed 37 people and injured hundreds is an attack against humanity itself, but 4 planes that destroyed 3 buildings and killed THOUSANDS were an attack on AMerican people? They vowed to bring those responsible to justice, why didn't they do the same thing for us? How come UN is not helping us looking for Bin Ladin? Where was the world when the AMericans needed someone to stand shoulder to shoulder with? [Edited on 7/7/2005]
