Mothers against video game violence website. Rofl!

Check out this load of crap...
We have received an overwhelming amount of letters on the topic of video game addiction and violence. While the majority of the responses were sent in by feral young children and pre-teenage gamers The MAVAV.org store provides clothing, cups, and stickers to help spread awareness in your community. "A Los Angeles city councilman has called for an investigation of violence at so-called Internet cafes, a step that could prompt a crackdown on the popular and controversial sites for PC-based games. The investigation of the cybercafes, also known as "PC bangs" or "cybercafes," came after a brawl erupted between rival groups playing in a tournament involving the online combat game "Counter Strike."
NO! WE CAN'T LET THEM BAN INTERNET CAFES! Edit: did I say the link was: www.mavav.org? oh well its in the quote anyway... [Edited on 6/22/2005]

 •
Posted by: Dominic24 this is old. but nonetheless, it's good that you bought these people to our attention. their inbox is going to be full for the next few weeks now.
Yeah, when I was at school I swear I remembered someone talking about the "tainted with online clans" thing. I like it how they hate rockstar though, can't deny that! Anyone up for t-shirts? Lol! :) I wonder if they make fridge magnets... or coffee mugs... and I wonder what their sales are compared to the Bungie store. Edit: It is fake, they said E3 was evil - its where programmers talk about what stuff they put into their games and how cool they are. I think gaming is a good social event, my neighbour always goes to the inet cafe by himself, but he has all these people I never knew existed with him doing co-op games on warcraft. They discuss tactics and talk about random stuff. BUT that crap on the website was claiming that inet cafes are a cause of mass genocide wtf? I don't go there though, its too boring.
