Does anybody else like the new layout?

Personally, I like it! No fanboyism. It feels way brighter having the white background, yes obviously elements from Facebook and Twitter are on here but they're the most successful sites going aren't they? It's good to see Bungie actually making a social network yet remaining the forum. If you don't use Facebook I can understand why you don't particularly like it but it should grow on us! Conversations flow much better with the reply system and the GIF's is what we've all been asking for, along with being able to change our name. If you honestly care about the title system gone, you shouldn't even be on this site.

  • I like it quite a bit, and I think the tag based system is a stroke of genius. It may take some getting used to, but it provides some powerful advantages over a classical forum system. For example, having a customized view of the types of topics I care about, rather than having to navigate through 3 distinct forums. Also it's so scalable it's not even funny; if Bungie came out with 8 games tomorrow, the old system would mean 8 new forum sections, 8 new menu items that had to be maintained, in however many places you can access them. Bleh. With this tag based system, however, if Bungie came out with 8 new games tomorrow, all they'd have to do is create 8 new tags, then bam! Done. Lastly, being able to mix and max tags means relevant conversations to subjects A and B can share a unified space; if something belongs equally in the 'community' as it does the 'universe,' there is now a way to reflect that.

    • I like it. Reminds me a bit of Reddit.

    • I think it's horrible. I can't believe they replaced the forums with this twitter/facebook thing
