So why were the

promithians following around a space zombie that lived in the Death Star? The plot didn't make any sense. [Edited on 11.14.2012 10:55 AM PST]

But not in context of eachother. In 3, we read the Didact and Librarian's final messages to eachother, before the rings fire, and were very much on good terms. In 4 *SPOILERS* we find that she locked him up in his Cryptum in Requiem. Then fired the array. Obiously, the Didact in the Halo 3 terminals was Bornstellar-Didact. That's crucial info you cannot get outside the books, and without it, both sets of terminals just don't add up.
