As a new member, I feel obligated to reply to this post. I am new to the forums, yes, new as of today as a matter of fact, I am not however, new to Bungie. One might go as far as to call me an old-school Bungie fan. I played Oni the week it came out, and I picked up my copies of both Halo and Halo2(SE) the day they were released. I'll give you as much, that most of the new people on this forum don't know what Oni is, but the bottom line is that there has been very little reason to join the froums here before the release of Halo2. Before Halo2, the only reason for a forum was to either praise a game, or berate it, or perhaps the occasional off topic, look at my funny screenshot thread. In my opinion, thats not enough incetive to spend time reading through a forum. Now however, with x-box live and the massive online Halo2 community, these forums are much more fruitful, and essentially pruposful. My point here, is that you really should not view the new wave of initiate members as a fad. I understand that people who are new to a forum can be annoying, but you all were new once. And, honestly, from what I have read, I'm not terribly impressed with this community, I see a whole lot of newbie complaints, and vets only seem to -blam!- about the newbs, I am however new, and will not judge this community completly until i have spent more time here.
