They are "killing" The Underground (with "kindness")

One of the recent, and almost un-noticed change to the Forums was the removal of Forum descriptions in the upper right-hand object. For example, The Underground has subtext stating that it was "Bungie General and Old-School", the Septagon, Maw, Library and New Mombasa also had small "blurbs" describing them. Since these descriptions have been removed, The Underground (in particular, but it appears to be happening everywhere) is getting a much higher number of mis-forumed topics created. I suspect that The Underground gets more posts that should be in The Flood, Maw, Library or New Mombassa as it is the first listed Forum on most menus. I know that this is kind of piddling, but I think that it is noticable. I've tried not using copy-n-paste boilerplate text advising people where there topic would be better created, but I must admit that it is a temptation. Since the topic reporting database on HFCS doesn't appear to allow just standard members to post about problem topics, I am at a loss of how best (as a member) to respond. I want to help, I want to advise (helpfully) each member who is mis-posting, and I am reluctant to try to report these threads that are not truly "harmful", but probably honest mistakes. I don't know if anyone else has noticed this change since the removal of the brief forum descriptions. It is very obvious to this observer. Would it be possible to have those descriptions returned? •
Posted by: un gato ..Well, I guess that last update certainly will fix the problem with off topic threads... Edit- Oh yeah, and you may want to edit your first post now to make it a little more up to date.
If this mayhem is the result of an update, where's the "Sytem Restore"? Oh, my Mac roots just cringe when I make references to MS-OS components. I was thinking that I would leave the opening post as a tribute and an example. The next time somone tells me that "Bungie doesn't listen" or "they take forever to do XYZ", I would like to point at this topic. Bungie doesn't have to monitor the forums, I read it in the Terms of Use (yes, I actually do read that sort of stuff, and license agreements when I'm installing software too!). Even though they have plenty of other things to do, and even though they don't have to monitor squat... After "quitting time" Achronos noticed and replied to a fan-voiced concern (a relatively minor one at that) on the fan discussion boards. He not only replied, but said that he would do something about it. Less than 2 days later, the described problem was resolved. The next time that I hear someone whine about, "they don't care", I am telling them to bite me and pointing them to this topic.
