Weekly Update Q&A Spectacular!

The latest Weekly Update consists of questions submitted by our readers and answers from Frankie and myself. For the next hour, we'll be going through the questions that were gathered in the news forum and answering what we can in this thread. Let the fun begin! This thread is now open to discussion. Post away! And, just because this isn't a normal weekly update doesn't mean there isn't a Mister Chief drawing. Here he is, straight from Frankie's laptop. •
Posted by: Spartan_117 Bull****. Its not a direct port, and the graphics are still stunning. I don't know if you even have seen Xbox screenshots of Doom3. H2 is beeing pushed to the Xboxs hardware limiteds, but the game is running at least as good as Halo, according to Bungie. They are miracle workers, and exelent programmers, they can implement online and system link co-op if they wan't. Rainbow Six and Black Arrow supported online co-op as well. If they can do it, so can Bungie. If its not inside, then i would like to know from Bungie why i wasen't. I don't know why they are so damn secret about it. A yes or no would be just enough.
Ok, A) I never said it was a direct port, but the game was based of a system with a bit more nuts, as seen here . I may love the Xbox in ways that have been called creepy, but its still just a old computer with 64mb of RAM. [edit] Nice I check page 10 and my post ends up on page 12. Some one said that Doom for the xbox has been redone, yeah it has, but it still asks far less then Halo 2 does of the Xbox [/edit] B) Think about this, I Rainbow 6 and Black Arrow how many simultaneous AI's is it running? Is Rainbow 6 crunching numbers for vehicle physics? How big is a Rainbow 6 map in comparison to a halo map? Like Rainbow 6, all that Doom3 has to deal with is enemies, a few players and a map not much smaller then Battle Crossing. On top of that, with the exception of the zombie marines who have the uncanny ability to find you no matter where you go, not that many of Doom's enemies are the sharpest tool in the shed. So the simple answer is no. [Edited on 9/18/2004 7:05:47 PM]
