• I noticed one slight inconsistency that no one seems to have picked up on so far: The Plasma Rifle is listed as having 400 shots/battery, while the Plasma Pistol is listed as having only 200 shots/battery. When I first read that about the Plasma Rifle, I was thinking, "No way, 400 shots for the Plasma Rifle?!? Where do I get one of these?" Then I read the Plasma Pistol page and was surprised to find such a low number for its shot capacity. I'm guessing that someone at Bungie just accidentally switched the two numbers. However, it would be nice if this could be fixed (or confirmed, if it is indeed true).

 •
Posted by: Jinny No. It's possible you'll fight some fringe group of Elites, and that would add a pretty good twist, or better yet the Arbiter betrayes ya.
On top of that, we have seen that the Hunters are an enemy in at least ONE fight. So, we could still be fighting every single Covenant race. But we'll see about the Elites. It's kinda cool to know that it IS a fleet-wide side change, considering the actions of the Elites in 'Ghosts of Onyx'.

 • 1st page packed with more spam than a plasma rifle can shoot. Good stuff! Now we know how to deal with the rest of the covenant - just upload a virus that changes the carbine bullet counter to human numbers. Or hieroglyphics. Oh, and at some time the 7ru7h will all come out. Until then, we have to put up with the T-17days, 8 hours, 17 minutes countdown *GROAN*. Awesome when it comes. [Edited on 09.07.2007 3:57 PM PDT]

 • "Foxtrot" is actually a code word for the letter F in the NATO Phonetic Alphabet. The UNSC always seems to use it for certain things, and in this case it is a way of covering up swear words. Also, "Mike" is another code word. So, a Mike Foxtrot is a "M... F..." Catch my meaning? They also type things like "bee are" as a way of showing spoken letters. It's for the most part a speech recognition thing, and is done a lot in war novels, etc. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NATO_phonetic_alphabet
youre right!! LOL! But when you think of it, the people who tend to be err......... less on the moron side dont end up in the millitary, they end up in medicine, jail or politics.........hmm kind of messed up my point there! • I like how bungie puts history and facts to the things they did in the previous games..... It obvious they didnt want us to use the fuel rod in Halo CE's campaign, and now that we can use t they come up with the dead man's switch thing. It more looked like the green thing cracked from the fall. Ah good ole Halo.

 •
Posted by: Poseidon19 sooo.... can we expect an update on anything flood related. ive noticed that everything has been focused on the humans or covenant. what about the flood?? im not saying i dont overly enjoy the updates we get, i am just curious.
I completely agree with you, the only thing that has been 'flood' related so far was on halo3.com. Anything about them for halo3 would be great Bungie, its just out of curiosity that I ask.
Posted by: RoboChocobo
Posted by: Tbone Man Anyone else notice that it says the first time they saw a fuel rod cannon was in 2031.........the end is near
Yeah, I noticed that too. Either it's another Bngie Mystery Mind-blam!-, or just a mistake. I doubt it's the latter.
No, it's a mistake. That section was written by one of the Bungie employees who didnt go on vacation. They just fixed it. Good, because i don't want to be startin a family when the foxtrot Covenant arrive!
Posted by: ForerunnnerFox Ok I'm sure everyone has been to the halo3 website put up by Xbox/microsoft and Bungie. Well at first I just thought you could watch that little comic on the sentinals, but then when I went on today after not having been there for a while, I noticed 5 different sentinals I could click on and kind of revolve them in like a 3D kind of thing. I did not think anything of it at first, but then I noticed certain markings on these sentinals light up and you can click on them. My picture folder kept coming up but I clicked the x to get rid of the page, after cliking on the couple of markings on each sentinal I noticed the sentinal like opened up and video started playing. This video shows a sort of message, either human or Forerunner or both [I'm guessing] that give you short insight on their understanding of the flood and maybe their presence on the Earth. This took me a while to figure out but it was a very clever little sort of puzzle and it was cool. Sorry if you've already done/or figured this out, I just thought it would be a good idea to let people know. It's not a leak or anything, its an official Halo 3 website. Enjoy. Gamertag: ForerunnerFox www.halo3.com
Lol, im sorry, but your information is very much obsolete. Iris ended 2 or so months ago. Lol.
