Halo 2 Piracy
Last night a pirated copy of Halo 2 was released onto the internet. Needless to say we think this really sucks. Aside from years of hard work being stolen from us, we've gone to great lengths to ensure that the details of the Halo 2 campaign remain a mystery for players to experience for themselves on November 9th. Microsoft is currently engaged in a full scale investigation and to those foolish enough to partake in this piracy, you will soon witness the firepower of this fully operational battle station.
Members of the Bungie community - we need your help. The Underground Army is being called into action; this is not a drill. Anyone who has information regarding the leak of the game or individuals or websites promoting the download of these illegal files is asked to please contact us by sending email to [b]piracy@microsoft.com[/b] or calling 1-800-RULEGIT. We also ask that you help us minimize the spoilers for those opting to wait for the retail release by refraining from posting screens, talking about the story and deleting any such posts you encounter. Many of you have already been actively tracking down and forwarding links to us and we thank you for your help.

I shall smite the thief or thieves with my force of internet users who are as pissed off as me and they will search and destroy the sites that contain the stolen code for Halo2 and if anyone has found a site please send it to me and I will try to get it erased for good. I really look forward to Halo 2, but those who do not want to buy it do not bother me much. Bungee indeed deserves much money for the game, but Microsoft on the other hand does not seeing that they have plenty of money they make off of low-quality and over-used products such as Windows and MSOffice. However, if most of the money is going to Bungee then that is cool. As for tracking down the offender... meh. If he is caught, oh well, but if not then it will not affect me because I do not have some sort of compulsive downloading disease that will make me grab the pirated copy.

man, everyone here just needs to calm down. believe it or not halo 2 is not going to self-destruct because it's been leaked, i think all this rage is more from jealousy than righteousness. so just calm down, nothing has really changed, halo 2 will still sell millions upon millions of copies and some of those who downloaded it are most likely going to buy the game anyways... and for that one guy who works at hollywood video and reported that kid, um i hope you know you're breaking the law too since such information private. althought i doubt MS would even bother wasting resources to get someone who already has it, they want those who are releasing it. get the picture?

The English version of the game was just leake a few hours ago by the group "TEAM XBSev" Im sure there will be a few more leaks before launch day.

I suppose that depends on whether or not you want to keep these friends or not. Also, understand that Microsoft is mostly trying to find who leaked the game and prosecute them. People like your friends, are rather small fish for them to catch.

This is insane! My son of a b!tch friend has a copy of halo 2 and now my other friend also has the copy and they are calling myself and my other friends over to play a system link game this weekend! What the hell should i do?! I dont know where they got the copy from and they wont tell me? They are my friends..but Halo 2 is one line no one should cross. What do you guys think i should do about this?!

Anyhow...I have been waiting for Halo 2 and saving myself from all spoilers so that I would have a pure experience on Nov 9th. Get this....some jackass posted a message with the title that says 'New Halo Warthog Movie' (I like those...no shame) so I clicked. It loaded up and before I knew it I saw this: '(outrageous spoiler!!!!)' HA HA HA I HOPE THIS SPOILED IT FOR EVERYONE THAT WAS WAITING!!!!! SUCKERS!!!' That maternal sodomizer!!! May he burn in hell!!! I seriously feel like a piece of my heard has been stolen.....WHYYYYYYY!!!!!
