MC is awesome but…… I still call dibs on the spec ops elite = P A big thanks to Bungie for this, I hope this option functions as it is supposed to right out the gate for you all.

Overall and again the Spartan III's would not work because they do not have SHIELDS...... DEAL with the fact of playing online co-op with 3 elites and one spartan or don't play the game at all and if you can't get over it sell your 360 and set fire to all you videogames and get a LIFE!!!! Yeh know? 25 pages of people crying over playing as an elite or MC is why I don't frequent the forums here very often. If you bother reading some of the insightful posts and really read the release, you will find that game play won't be affected by which life form you are (at least in co-op). So stop worring about what you look like and just get ready to rock with some great times. And if it bothers you too much, go play with dolls!

The only thing I really need to know is the effectiveness of the plasma pistol's single-shot mode. Like, is it more like Halo: CE's where it was heavily effective against flood combat forms, or is it super--blam!- like Halo 2's. Cuz if I'm going to be an elite and i get stuck with the plasma pistol as one of the starting weapons, it better be useful aside from the overcharge functionality. Anywhosits, Elites=win, Humans=megafail.

I hate playing as a Elite on the halo 2 story mode. only little kids like playing as them. Bungie might as well make Halo 3 Rated (E) for everyone. I Love the four player online mode but everyone would want to be Master Chief. Hopefully the online gaming is great as Halo 2 for Halo 3.

Maybe 'add the option' of playing Fred, or Kelly? (If you are saying WTF... read the books) It doesn't really matter to me. I will play as an elite (I like the carbine start better anyway), but I think it would be great to have an option.

And people who are complaining about being elites, give it up. Storywise it just makes no sense to play as a human other than a Spartan, they aren't as powerful. And the elites are way cooler anyway.... That and humanity really probably wouldn't survive the convenant without some kind of serious help and I think the Elites joining us (even only a sect) would be it.

This is what Frankie meant in the podcast when he told Blender something like Halo 3 was so good it was like a Beatles reunion with John and George coming back from the dead. Master Chief is John, Arbiter is Paul, Usze is George and Ringo is um, that other guy. That's it, I want Mister Chief art remaking a Beatles album cover with these guys as stand ins.

Sweet...It would be cool if you could choose wich new one you wanted to be if there were only only like 3 of you too rather than it just being based on player number. I'm glad they decided to change the identical chief thing. The only problem i see is the 3 elite players killing MC and fighting over his battle rifle.

It's absolutely pathetic that people are still complaining. Bungie made our wishes come true with online co-op. But what makes them so incredible? Doing better than what they're asked for. They didn't just make 4 player online co-op with 4 MC's. They did something even better. Adding new sangheili's into the plot. Stop complaining people.
