some people like seeing the story from a different perpective. I'm not saying all people like being elites but some people same why not be marines. stop the whining who ever is asking for marines you got 4 player co-op. [Edited on 08.09.2007 1:11 PM PDT]

I under stand you want to play as 4 spartan thats your how some people see but there lucky you even got 4 player co-op at all. Great job with the 4 player co-op!! Piss poor job with not letting everyone play as a Spartan! That was the only thing I didn't like about Halo 2 -- being forced to campaign as an Arbiter -- ephing dumb. We should be able to play co-op as any character we desire... If you can't be a Spartan in 4 player co-op, why can't you at least be a Marine? Follow the original Halo - Spartan only.

Thanks bungie now it gonna be hard to sleep till september 25. The 4 player co-op is gonna be awsome!!! Every stop whining about one spartan and 3 elites. It could have been 1 spartan and 1 elite MC and Arby meaning only two player online. [Edited on 08.09.2007 12:23 PM PDT]

I'm thrilled that their's a 4 player co-op... I'm kinda bummed to be honest, i loved playing with another Spartan. Another spartan and another Elite as 3rd and 4th would have been ideal... and perfect for me!

the players should be able to choose if they want to have four master chiefs if they want to but i still think having four different characters four campaign.....so kudos

One question, why 2 new Elites? Why not "Johnson" and or 2 marines with beefed up armor? I mean isn't H3 supposed to take place mainly on Earth? The 4 player online co-op awesome. I'm just a little disappointed that they chose to make the other 3 players elites. Lets see, Earth is facing a very grave crisis and 1 cyborg and 3 aliens are gonna save it. Makes sense to me.

I still think that player 3 or 4 should be one of the spartans in the books just to make it so no one feels like the master chief is above them. I like Elites better, but.. you know... :P

I have a major question to ask that has been asked many times before, but I am not sure it has been answered yet (if it has been, then please point me in the right direction). If we start off playing the game in Co-Op, whether it's online or offline play, then will we miss out on certain cinematic sequences and the like? I would love to play first with my best friend over live but I really would like to know that we wont be missing crucial points of the plot, ya know?

yeah i know that the remaining spartan III's are in the bubble, but who says that ONI didn't stop making them (unless im forgetting something in the book) and even if they did, they may start making them again in a desperate move to save earth. I think they should introduce a new guy, a spartan III and have him fight with the chief and the arbiter. They said that this was the last halo game-of this story arc-I think they could continue the new halo series with this new spartan III.

[/quote] but at the end of Ghosts of Onyx, the only remaining S-II and S-III's are trapped in a slipspace bubble, so it would be sort of paradoxical to have them suddenly alongside you (or would require a lot more backstory). I just want to know which elite is 3rd player and which is 4th, because i really want to play as the one with the blue armour. [Edited on 08.06.2007 9:23 PM PDT]

actually i saw the new screenie of the chief in the forest... those marines look pretty shnazzy, i wouldn't mind playing as them at all. i really don't care about the whole "they're weaker,shorter, and don't have shields" crap. its just a look.
