You've asked a thousand times, we've done all we can. Now we're finally answering the question: "Will Halo 3 have online co-op?"

Agreed I think the elites idea was retarded. No offence bungie but, been there done that in halo 2. You played even as 1 player as elites. That was pretty cool but i think it should be characters like. Char 1. Master Chief. Char 2. Sargeant Johnson. Char 3: Some white guy leutenant in one of those caps they have. Or whatever you wanna call it. Char 4. Your standard UNSC Marine. Ever since halo came out and there was multiplayer ive always wanted to play as a marine.

They have elites, because it makes sense. Noobs like you need to shut up. They arn't marines cause marines arn't as strong, can't run and jump as high as MC. DUH!!!! Plus, they don't have the Spartan armor. Elites have all that stuff. And no other Spartans cause, only MC is the Spartan in Halo 3. So shut up you noob.

So just to make sure Im not crazy; even in split-screen co-op you'll have the Master Chief and the Arbiter? I'm hoping not; I really find that dissapointing; 90% of the fun for running around in co-op was having two spartans kicking ass. Online 4-player co-op is badass though; and I dont really mind the arbiter/elite thing there. But it still -blam!-s me if it is indeed just MC and the Arbiter; while it makes sense; it almost makes me not really want to play it as co-op :P

For all you people that are saying "Quit whining about the Elites", I have this to say to you. What makes more sense? Master Chief and 3 Elites, or Master Chief, the Arbiter and 2 Marines? The Marines could wear a battle suit that enhances their strength, and speed. Alot of you are thinking the story is going to be different if you play a different character. WRONG. The Elites are only playable in the multi-player co-op. You don't get to pick which player you want to play in campaign mode if your playing in single player mode. You get the MC. I'm not -blam!-ing about the 4 player co-op, I've always thought internet co-op would have been great in H1 and H2. I just think they did a poor job of adding in the other Avatars for the 3rd and 4th players in the co-op. I like that they didn't make them Spartans though, cause according to the advertising for H3 Master Chief is the last of his kind.
