Lived in a bad neighborhood. Got into two fights just for walking down the road. Kicked ass in one, got ass kicked in other. Never really thought about it, but aren't those perfect examples for folks to rationally cross the road so they don't have to walk toward a stranger at night? (Well, I was attacked in broad daylight, one with a friend next to me, so..) Also got into a few other fights. Only started one fight myself, and that was because I was being "playfully" assualted by empty soda cans.
