[/quote] If they didn't purposefully lock it at 60/make higher resolution assets and kept it all the original game, I wouldn't be surprised if the 360 could go over 300-400 fps EASILY.

I'm new to Marathon as well. I'm excited to play a game from the creators of greatest game series in existence. I'm really curious now as to what resolution Halo 3 will play at. They mentioned that Durandal would play at true 720p widescreen. Does anyone know if they ever said what Halo 3 will run at? I keep hearing different answers.

I hate anything that does not have to do with "halo3" stuffs. who wants to play a "new" version of a old 2d game? you just kill ugly monsters and the grfx sux.

Man, the last time I played a Marathon type game was some spin off mod based on Marathon for Unreal Tournament 1999 LOL. Marathon Durandal would be a great addition to XL Arcade, it looks fantastic.

I think i wanna play this game.... although unsure cause it looks quite bad(graphics wise) saying that im a big fan of the retro games as they dont make um how they used too...(ive also just packed the N64 to take on holiday with me, insted of the black (x) box or 360). and if it resembles halo i def wanna play it. xbox live means microsoft points though.... i currently dont have any (boo hoo) anyone no how many itll cost cus i cant be bothered scaning the entire thing for prices, what im lazy ok!

This is gonna be great, I can't wait to finally play Marathon. But when does it come out, I NEED a release date!!! [edit] To the guy above me, it'll be 800 points, it said in the text somewhere, and that's the standard for new XBLA games. 2100 points is about £18, I don't know what that is in dollars. I just played Marathon on PC last night for the first time and I played the first edition of Foundation. It looks some what similar, obviously. It was nice knowing that the Halo 2 version of Foundation looks 1,000x better.

Doom didn't have a story. Frankly, I'm not only excited as a Marathon fan who gets to play this game in High Def on a widescreen television, but as a Marathon fan who as always felt the series never got enough attention or respect. Seems to me that it's about to get all of that at long last. The lack of a release date sucks, but at least we know it's coming soon. Summer 07' is almost at an end.

Finally! I've been wanting to play some of Bungie's old games. Marathon, in particular! This will no doubt be a fun experience.
