The Official and Only Halo 3 User-Created Gametypes/Maps Thread

In addition to our Files forums (located [url=http://www.bungie.net/Forums/default.aspx?mode=halo3]here[/url]), I'm creating a thread here on the Official Halo 3 Forum to serve as a catch-all for gametypes and map variants ONLY, that have been created by the community. The hope here is that this will be used as a resource and and archive of created games and map variants from the Community. This is NOT a place to discuss the quality of an author's work or offer suggestions, do that in the links the authors will provide for their gametype/map variants. This is ONLY for collecting the gametypes. Here's the format for posting, (I've bolded ONLY for the purpose of making the text stand out in this wall of text, please refrain from bolding in your posts) all posts in this thread that violate the post format will be deleted by the moderators. [b][url=http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=13209070]Rebound, a Re-imagination of Snowbound[/url] Designed with Symmetrical-arena style slayer play in mind, Rebound takes elements of Snowbound that previously turned the map into an interior camping battle, like the Shotgun, and awards both teams a Shotgun in their respective bases. Weapon sets have been made close to identical on both sides of Snowbound in an attempt to remove the tendency of players to crouch camp underneath. This map is ideal for 2-10 players. [/b] [i]How to make these posts. 1. Create a gametype and map variant, upload these to your File Share. 2. Publish the Gametype and Map variants to the forums, save the links to those threads. 3. Create post in this thread, and link to the Map variant and Gametype at the Publish to Forums link here [this way players can easily click those links and download your gametypes. 4. Create a well-written explanation of changes made to the map and if necessary a description of the gametype you've created, including ideal number of players, number of teams (if necessary) and any other relevant information. Please write as clearly and coherently as possible. 5.   • Gametype: [url=http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?h3fileid=114319593]vampire slayer[/url] [u]DESCRIPTION[/u] Vampire Slayer (i know very creative) is a Slayer-based gametype with the main tweaks being Vampirism set to 25% and Headshot-only scorings. It still needs some tweaks but it is in the beta stage and also the first gametype i've ever created. Please feel free to improve it by commenting on the link posted above or writing a PM. Players spawn with infinity pistols, non-regenrative shields and regenerative grenades. I intented to allow grenade-only pickups and forging some maps in order to fit this but as it isn't possible to only pick up grenades this failed. Shields and Damage are set so that while being fully shielded, 4 headshots with a pistol or 2 grenades most likely are going to kill you. A Headshot with the pistol does something like 22% damage to your shields and a frag grenade exploding right in front of you around ~60%. The only vehicles enabled are mongooses as they don't kill you when being hit and fit the purpose of bringing you from A to B most. Gravity affection is set to or 150% and speed to 125%. This change was made to increase the difficulty of scoring headshots as the pistol is fairly accurate and also makes it harder to place a proper grenade because of the enemy being faster and less predictable with his jumps. Killing sprees earn you +1 points. So far, thats all. Thanks for reading!
