The Official and Only Halo 3 User-Created Gametypes/Maps Thread

In addition to our Files forums (located [url=http://www.bungie.net/Forums/default.aspx?mode=halo3]here[/url]), I'm creating a thread here on the Official Halo 3 Forum to serve as a catch-all for gametypes and map variants ONLY, that have been created by the community. The hope here is that this will be used as a resource and and archive of created games and map variants from the Community. This is NOT a place to discuss the quality of an author's work or offer suggestions, do that in the links the authors will provide for their gametype/map variants. This is ONLY for collecting the gametypes. Here's the format for posting, (I've bolded ONLY for the purpose of making the text stand out in this wall of text, please refrain from bolding in your posts) all posts in this thread that violate the post format will be deleted by the moderators. [b][url=http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=13209070]Rebound, a Re-imagination of Snowbound[/url] Designed with Symmetrical-arena style slayer play in mind, Rebound takes elements of Snowbound that previously turned the map into an interior camping battle, like the Shotgun, and awards both teams a Shotgun in their respective bases. Weapon sets have been made close to identical on both sides of Snowbound in an attempt to remove the tendency of players to crouch camp underneath. This map is ideal for 2-10 players. [/b] [i]How to make these posts. 1. Create a gametype and map variant, upload these to your File Share. 2. Publish the Gametype and Map variants to the forums, save the links to those threads. 3. Create post in this thread, and link to the Map variant and Gametype at the Publish to Forums link here [this way players can easily click those links and download your gametypes. 4. Create a well-written explanation of changes made to the map and if necessary a description of the gametype you've created, including ideal number of players, number of teams (if necessary) and any other relevant information. Please write as clearly and coherently as possible. 5. Bungie will be watching this thread and using it as a resource for gametype creation from the community as well, all posts not relevant to the topic at hand will be removed and users potentially extinguished like torches in a monsoon.[/i] [Edited on 10.12.2007 1:55 PM PDT]

The Zealot can hijack vehicles (vehicle use > passenger only). The Zealot has 3x overshield and 500 damage resistance. Players deal 200% damage. The player who is first to die becomes a Halo 1 Zealot. The objective is to take down the Zealot, who spawns with the Energy Sword. Weapon pickup is disabled for the Zealot. The Zealot starts with no grenades. Recommended map: Valhalla, Valhalla Heavy [url=http://www.bungie.net/Online/Halo3UserContentDetails.aspx?h3fileid=109263002]Cold Light, a Cold Storage variant[/url] Energy blockers block the Flood rooms. No other changes made. This map variant is intended for 2-4 players. Recommended gametype: Slayer, Team Slayer [url=http://www.bungie.net/Online/Halo3UserContentDetails.aspx?h3fileid=109263004]Cold Stop[/url] A variant of Cold Light. Respawn points in the sniper/active camo room have been deleted. Respawn points under the sniper/active camo room have been deleted. All players respawn in the main room. Also intended for 2-4 players. Recommended gametype: Slayer, Team Slayer [url=http://www.bungie.net/Online/Halo3UserContentDetails.aspx?h3fileid=109263013]Top of Longshore[/url] For use in Forge and Custom Games. The deactivated teleporter (surrounded by street cones) allows you to explore the top of Longshore as a Monitor when you reactivate it; change it to 0 and go through it as the Monitor. The already activated teleporter allows you to access a secret sniping spot for Custom Games. 4-12 players. Recommended gametype: Slayer [url=http://www.bungie.net/Online/Halo3UserContentDetails.aspx?h3fileid=109263143]Citadel Covies[/url] All Human/Forerunner objects deleted and replaced with Covenant objects. For example, Power Cores replaced with Covenant Plasma Batteries. Also, all scenery items (except Power Cores) have been deleted for Forge. I recommend using Forerunner Crates and using the interior design of Tower 1 and Tower 3 on The Covenant to get started. 2-6 players.
