• That is cool. I like how Bungie is starting to not focus mainly on the game but other stuff as well. Keep up the good work Bungie!

 • you know, I've never played clix but I've seen it, although briefly, played ... The first time I saw it was at a Halo 2 tourny at a local game shop ... My first comment was ... dude that would be bad ass with Halo ... I'm glad to see my wish come to life... I'm looking forward to playing HaloClix (and yes I know I cannot spell for -blam!-e) hey Prophestus, Do you have XBL -Cortland- P.S. I misspelled -blam!- as a joke =)

 • I plan on picking up a case or two. I have been an avid Clix gamer for years, and I will agree its not in depth as GW games nor does it have plain figures for you to paint, but I play stirctly for the enjoyment of the game. Its basically a new form of chess, if you will. Where each piece you use costs so many "points" and you only have so many points to build your army with. Better characters cost more points and have many different "powers" and/or "abilities," and vice versa. Its a fairly simple concept, and with other clix games, games last around 15 to 40 minutes depending on what you're playing, although at this point it is near impossible for me to know how long a game of Actoinclix will last, I'm assuming it won't differ much since generally the mechanics should be about the same.

Games Workshop would have been much, much better.
Glad to see someone agreed.
Theres not enough content for GW to make a phisible game system from it. There could be 4 factions at the most. UNSC, Covanant, Flood, Human rebles. Bungie wouldn't really appriciate having games workshop mess with their story or let them create any new content.

 • Ugh....i can tell this is gonna sell really well and probably make a lot of money, but if Bungie really wants to make an awesome, worthwhile game, they should definitely turn to Games Workshop

 • Games Workshop would definately have added quit a bit of depth and further strategy to the the game a la 40K or LOTR. ActionClix seems like a watered down product when a Halo tabletop game could have been much more, let's say "varied". Of course I have never set eyes on any Clix games so I'm making an assumption here based on my experiance with 40K.

 •
Posted by: mmljcrusaders This is a disappointment, I was hoping that you would have weapons and grenades on the map, instead when you want a new weapon you just bring out another guy. Why this is bad? Well, because if your friend has a better weapon than your whole army your dead. Instead of making it fare and having your guys pick up weapons off the map, you know like the real halo? There just to cheap, they mold the weapon on, rather than making your figures able to take up any weapon... I also was so excited to see the master chief weld a gravity hammer....
Despite the fact I hate this idea it will be HUGLY balenced. More balenced than any vidieogame will ever be. For my example I will take warhammer. There are upward of 12 races in warhammer with with specific themed ones within that. In a videogame this would be nigh on impossible to balence. But games workshop (and pretty much every tabletop game) uses a pioints system. It doesn't matter if all you have is marines with SMGs. You freind will have to use the same amount relitivly. If he has a few heavy weapons use cover, get in close you can remember that you can absorb more losses than he can. You just have to fight smart...
Posted by: xTr1GGeR HaPPYx
Posted by: Blitz2o MKII Bungie should have just gone to GamesWorkshop and offered them to make a "Halo" based Warhammer type of game, instead of this...cheap, and crappy version. of course, thats just my opinion.. although, the Halo universe would probably fit in with the Warhammer 40k universe quite well...
Exactly right. Games Workshop would have been much, much better.
Games workshop is a juggernaught on their own. They are already streached to a breaking point with the 3 game systems they concrntrate on now. And anyway. We would probably get a LOtR style rule set. *Shudder Oh and pretty much every universerse will fit into the 40K one because it is so incredibly vast. Both halo and starcraft have burrowed ideas for m 40K. In starcrafts case it was all three of their races and in halos case it was more the design of marines and spartens and the spartens background. •
Posted by: GruntOfAction Honestly I hate the look of the clix things. And McFarlane is gonna mess up the action figures. I miss Joyridestudios. I still have their 8 inch ones and those are cool because unlike the McFarlane ones you can actually display em with diffrent weapons. McFarlane's are all stationary and you have to buy seprate ones for weapon combos and im NOT paying 5 sets of $20 bills for Masterchief with a Battle rifle, assault rifle. and grenades.
I'll second that. I'm pissed that Joyride didn't renew their license for the figures. They could have made another evolution collectors tin with all three Spartan versions. The McFarlane figures are scaled down and won't fit in with the older ones. I haven't seen the clix before, but it looks like it could be a good strategy board game. I wish they showed more of the figures.

 • I was just a bit pissed off. Ive been playing warhammer for years so was exited about this. The I read into it. It sems that all models come pre made and pre painted in random packs. Now the thing that got me into playing warhammer was the making and painting. The random figure booster packs makes it sound more like pokemon cards than a wargame. I just can't see people being able to field an effective force when theyer getting minitures they dont want or need..... And as for the confusing part. Actionclix is a simple wargame. Thinking about it warhammer confused me 4-5 years ago. Happy gaming.
