  • I sure hope they change the out of valhalla glitch. we had a loser on our team on CTF and he took the enemy flag out there so we would lose. that was before everyone knew how

  • nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo dont take away the flying out into outer space thing I love that glitch it really shows off your engine just fix it up like we can land on the mountains and not die and that big metal thing to the right of the water fall (looking towards it) you can hop out of the banchee between the metal thing under neath it you should figure it out through some of the videos. and make it to where we dont experence the picture lag when we are looking down at the map. I just loved to show my friends that say the engine for halo 3 is going to be crap and just show em the outer space glitch and they like freak out and stuff. Its a great glitch. PS some of my friends friends stayed on the halo 3 beta 24 hours after it ended I stayed on after 3 hours. you couldnt kick us out of the custom games lol. DONT TAKE AWAY THE OPTIONS FOR MODIFING THE PHYSICS WE LOVE THAT ABILITY WE CAN HAVE SO MUCH FUN WITH THAT!!! oh yah would love to see some cloud effects like the clouds moving in the air and creating a shadow on the ground. also you knkow how the human eye can adjust to the darkness of an area at night all you have to do is make it to where a person walks into a tunnel and stay there for let say a minute and make it look like the cave got a little lighter gives it a better realistic effect.

  • oh yah when an abject like a bomb or a flag or an oddball goes out side the map make it reapear in its origional location I hate the lossers who would go out side of the map with the flag or bomb or skull and just sit out there.

  • oh man the sound was the best thing in the whole game..........no the whole thing was great actually but that was still the best lol!!! bungie rox yes everyone knows that but just a few things need tweaking: well 1st it kinda sucks how (in shotty snipers) u shoot sum1 from about a foot away with a shotgun and they refuse to die? (no lag) then they shoot you with one just a split second after and ur dead, after all that hard work???? lol might need to be a bit more powerful at close range. 2nd the carbine needs to be less powerful and the battle rifle needs about 10% more 3rd don't take out that glitch outside valhella because its awesome you can go into space 4th we want 1st person view in the side of the warthog like halo1......my mates all agree to lol and BUNGIE rules so yeh I hope you take this into account because that would make perfection

  • Very nice read, and good interview Luke/Frankie. I'd also be interested at some point in some of the specifics about what's been learnt technically as well, on some of the things that were alluded to briefly in the article, such as networking. What kind of fixes we can expect for the retail build, would be very cool.

Everyone I played with hated territories and vetoed it every time they could... and all we do is play skirmish game types.

  • You know the gameplay and maps that were played on where great, but not fantastic. Bungie, you should have a map where the day turns into night. Something like how Lost Planet has for the map called, Lost Coast. I think it would be cool that gameplay battles would take place during the day then turn into night. It would be cool to see parts of the armour light up at night. It'll also be cool to play team snipers or rocketlaunchers. You know, from dusk till dawn. Also, we need some background interaction like from elites or brutes attacking players from either teams or on the rumble pit breaking up strategies or tactics. I think this'll be a hit if implemented right.

  • Please don't change the warthog durability to suit the naysayers. Once people become GOOD at the game, the durability demonstrated in the Beta will be perfect. Indeed, as the Beta neared conclusion, I found it increasingly more difficult to wreak havok with it. People were learning to cope. If you react to the complaints, it may seem more balanced in the beginning, but as players become better and better, the warthog will become more and more useless. People need to keep in mind that the Warthog is an armored combat vehicle. It's durability is consistent with the concept. Of course destroying a warthog is going to be difficult for a single person, but this should not come as a surprise. It's called TEAM slayer for a reason. As to poor spawning, I think this could easily be fixed by giving players a very brief period of enhanced durability that lasts perhaps five seconds or until they've fired on or attacked someone. The problem with spawning is largely due to spawning in an open area near an enemy. A brief period of durability would allow them to take cover if need be. My last point is that I like the new needler, although I do agree that it is a little powerful. I don't think reducing damage or tracking is necessarily the answer. Perhaps reducing the reticule size, which is currently large, would help make this weapon a little more skill oriented. From what I've seen, the needles only track a target if the reticule was aimed at the target when they fired. A smaller reticule would make tracking the target a little more difficult but still worthwhile.

  • Id rather play territories once in a while than slayer every 5 seconds. The beta had way too much slayer. Bungie please put in more objective games.

  • I also noticed a large percentage of people vetoing Territories or commenting loudly that everyone wasn't vetoing Territories. Personally, I could take it or leave it. It isn't my favorite game type but it is a good change of pace. I personally have a general dislike of objective games because too many people quit mid-game at the first sign of adversity (i.e. other team scoring first). I really disliked VIP on Valhalla a lot of the time. That one ledge near one of the bases (red? on left side facing out from base) where the VIP could jump up to was annoying. You could not get a shot with any weapon at a player crouched up there unless you went up to engage at point blank range, which with 4x shields for the VIP was generally a losing proposition. It created WAAAY too much camping. I much preferred the VIP having to continuously move and reposition themselves, or even go on the offensive, a la Snowbound.
