My guess as to the real reason of the change is that most players have put the Recon armor on a pedestal, and they don't want any free associating of that armor perm with this as yet unreleased game. Why? This game is going to be hated loudly by the general bungie community. Mark my words. They are fickle. They hated Halo 3. They will assuredly hate this. It makes me sad though. I love Halo. Every iteration thus far has been awesome. But there are haters out there that suck the fun out of everything. I can see the threads now. You have been warned.
