Someone who likes Halo, but is not that gung ho about it, may not know what an ODST is, but they understand the Halo 3 part of the title, and since in this game they play as an ODST they probably will need to learn what and ODST is. What better way to get the player to learn that than to make it the title? [/quote] I realize what you're saying. It just seems unnecessary to me. Recon was easier to say, and had a sense of intrigue to it. I suppose if they're going to change the name that they do it sooner rather than later. Seems like some folks are already wondering whether the name change was a copyright issue.
