no the white helmet isnt an easter egg its just one of the new ways to customize your characters appearance i cant wait to play the beta my friend and i are taking the day off from school and downloading it asap and playing all day its gonna be great

Okay i relised the different coloured heads and stuff and yes i agree that it is a customisation for your chief. FOr anyone who is a bit blind and did not see it here: http://img157.imageshack.us/img157/1331/chiefix3.jpg If im not allowed to post links will someone please tell me to remove it. BTW Awesome job on the atv.... I think it was worth not putting it in halo 2 and putting it in halo 3 only. As it shows a total kickass atv not a rushed one. [Edited on 05.11.2007 5:45 PM PDT]

yeah it looked like an over all great game but it seems like you aren't able to throw your nades nearly as far as you could in Halo 1 or 2, but that's just what it looked like in the video, it could be my mistake. But if you do plan to make the throw distance of the grenades shorter my suggestion is don't, because being able to throw long distance nades is a key part to any strategy and if you take away that section the whole strategy falls apart.

Things I Noticed. *Water: Looks way cool *New hub: Sheilds at top... *It now says "blank" SMASHED "blank" instead of "blank" beatdown "blank" *Backpacks? *New Metals: Lasered, Killjoy *Mysterious pick-up *The way too much mentioned helmit color *Portable Gravlift *6 Round Shotgun *Sound going through forcfield not sticky grenade *super kitty will rule the world after destroying all of the little spartans on my computer screen *New King of the hill circle *No elites. Whether elites were removed from multiplayer, they aren't in the beta, or people realized that the spartan is superior being I don't know *Mr. Juke is awsome *And many more things not worth mentioning because they have been talked about in other articals [Edited on 05.11.2007 6:59 PM PDT]

If you go to 2:54 there is another image of a spartan with a different color helmet (pink this time) and it also looks like the shoulders are pink too (the whole shoulder, not just an emblem background)... more customization? sorry Pyro Blizzard and Sir Nikolai, I didn't see your posts, but that is exactly what I was posting about.... na its kool mate it just annoys me and i bet a lot of other people when you show something that prooves it or doesnt has to be said again and people just watch video and post... But its kool i rekon all extra padding and helmet on chief will be customizable

It looks amazing! I was drooling and then I heard the sniper rifle and battle rifle reload.... OMG lol that was like the best sound ever, the sniper sounds deadly!! And that scene using the portable man cannon to jump the gate in the mongoose thats brilliant whoever came up with that needs a medal... or 50. I never thought I'd say this but eat your heart out PC gamers Halo 2 was great but we've got Halo 3 and this is bloody amazing!! I do know they get it eventually but haha they have to play vista while we get the beta and Halo 3... I'd sell my comp right now... poor guys I feel sorry for em'

all i can come up with is WOW. this makes all the leaked beta videos look exactly what they are, amateur crap. I cannot wait for the beta and am so glad my friend owns Crackdown. Does anyone else think the laser is a little powerful? one shot kill without having to aim for a head shot like the sniper? other than that, it looks like everyone on this forum is not gonna get much sleep the 3 weeks after May 16th. The day before my finals are over too so I will be getting DOWN seeya all out there

I liked how Valhalla has 'zones' besides just the two bases. It mimics Coagulation in that you have at least one area up high and to the side of each base, but it also looks like the center of Valhalla has steep drop offs, rock outcroppings and other areas that allow for an almost mini-map type feel right in teh center, which differentiates it from Coag's sloping hills and flat, lazy center. I wonder if the laser can blast through multiple foes? If it spawns on Valhalla at the bases, you could line up a shot through your man cannon towards the arc of the other cannon and maybe roast 2-3 of the other team as they move in line to take off towards the center of the map. Soooo many game play possibilities. Makes you wonder how all these new toys will work in the regular game.
