ok i hav the answer 2 the halo 2 blastacu;ar map pack problem u hav to go and get a pre paid (or nomal) credit card at like cvs or a groucery store or a bank and just go 2 payment options then add credit card and it will not affect pre paid xbox live cards ether so u can still get ur credit for tht and keep using them also even wit a pre paid credit card just put like 5 or 6 $ and then just download them the blastacular map pack ok there u go ur welcome.

No more 16 person ranked servers anywhere to be seen. This game blows now they only have 8 person ranked servers. I wish i wouldnt have bought the new maps a waste of 4 dollars. they changed the game way to much for me. Im done playing this game for good.

I was having trouble re-d/l the maps too, but I linked a different credit card that I used the first go around, and they worked on the first try with the new card. So I guess I was one of the ones who got them for free the first time. Oh well, problem solved.

Thanks for taking my favorite pastime and turning it on its head. Making BTB unranked has turned it into a contest of who can quit 1st. In addtition, without the leveling all games are completely lopsided. It is a guaranteed rout for one lucky team. And what is up with all of the BTB Slayer games? If I wanted to play Slayer I'd select Team Slayer. (Sounds obvious to me, but whatever). I understand I am in the minority and most of the community would rather just run around killing everybody, but I sure miss the strategy of the objective games.

So we can have a weekly update on how -blam!- the treatment is towards bungie right now, when there giving us a Halo3 Beta Test in 20 hours. You see, They'll throw back toward halo3, cause halo2 is old. I own a 360, and still play halo2 occasionally. About 2 years ago, I wouldnt be off the game for hours from early evening to early morning. Now, i put in the disc try to re-download the maps, it fails, I play one match turn off my 360 for most the night. Riddiculous, the treatment were getting. Absolutely, riddiculous. I wish there was something we could do as a whole, but again I doubt there reading this -blam!-, that were righting. I want my refund on the maps, cause I will not play halo2 anymore. I am done with it. I wonder if that can happen. Its been almost a month of having been charged 4dollars for something I cant play. If someone knows if thats possible say it. I am going to find out myself if not and I will tell you folks about it.

Wow! Thanks for making me not want to play these stupid matchmaking playlists. Rumble Pit - SUCKS, with a capital SUCKS. Team Hardcore - hey, what about those new maps that I not only had to pay for, but because I have a 360, it didn't work for days, but I noticed that you wasted no time in taking the money from my account. Oh and Big Team Battle - so about those new maps (specifically Tombstone) that are actually big enough to need more people so you're not running around for 2-3 minutes just to find another player. If this is the quality of work that I can expect from Halo 3, then it's about time for Microsoft to step up and put you out of your misery. Come on Old Yeller time to go out back. Not to F**cking mention that I've been reading pages of posts complaining about this stuff, and you'd think that Bungie would be putting people on this problem so that they could try to keep some of their fan base, but apparently they don't think that Halo 2 fans are going to fund Halo 3 in the future. This is utterly rediculous. I can't play any of my favorite matchmaking because you punks put them off limits to people who don't pay 4 dollars for the new maps. I know that there's probably some clause that I signed that makes this legal, but in customer service terms I consider this basically stealing. I signed up for xbox live to play Halo 2, and the only thing I ever play is team slayer, and I can't do that because you people are FORCING me to charge $4 to a credit card number that no longer exists, when I already F**cking paid $50 for more than I WAS getting before you made this switch. That is to say that before this happened, I was peaved that you have been putting less and less resources into Halo 2 on XBOX Live for the last year or so, and I never complained. But this is the final straw man. You people are so sheisty, it hurts. Needless to say, I'm buying a PS3 instead of an XBOX 360, and I'm considering contacting the Better Business Bureau.

Yeah guys I am TOTALLY with you. This rank reset is frukn BULL-blam!- I was like a level 20 before they decided to reset them. I FINALLY, let me repeat, FINALLY got the 2 new maps RE-downloaded (took like 3 days of trying)...which is totally unacceptable...and now EVERY time I play, its in a game with nothing but cheaters or people who were probably ranked 40-50'ish. The matchmaking is not fair by any means now. Every game I've played the score has been like 50-15 (the average), with me being on the losing team...whad'ya know? The worst game I played the score was 50-5, no joke, and the best was 50-20'ish. It is friggin ridiculous now. Does anyone have Bungie's number where we can ALL call and say what in the frukn hELL were you guys thinking????? You should've just integrated the 2 new maps into matchmaking and left everything else ALONE!!! Its so bad now that it makes me not even want to play now, sad to say. Screw all you F'n cheaters you can all suck on my fat one. Its a damn shame you idiots can't even play a legitimate game online without having to cheat or stand-by, that is the most idiotic crap I've ever seen in my entire life! If you're getting shot at, dude just fight it out, don't be like OMG I'm getting shot and fixing to die, let me hit stand-by on my modem/router and pause the game so I don't die and can run around and cheat and twack a few people in the back to get my teams score up. You better damn believe I use the feedback system after each map when someone cheats the game, now whether or not the system works is another story since it seems like it doesn't do any good, but I still try. That's great and everything but, I redownloaded the 2 maps and I see on my account that I have been charged again??? I was charged the first time and I didn't download to a different console. How do I know that the second charge on my account will be removed???

While I am enjoying my new climb through the ranks and the exploring of the new maps, I am somewhat frustrated because I cannot play by myself in a ranked matchmaking playlist. I would love to see Bungie bring back Rumble Hardcore, Rumble Pit, and 1v1... ranked style.

Well, this could be an end of a long run of halo2 playin. I tried last night again, still cant get the maps fixed up for my box with many friends. Still sittin there in these lame ass game types like hxcore and double team. It wasnt fun, it wasnt exciting in fact i left after the 1st match was over cause the -blam!-s took a flag and threw it to the top of the map for 8 minutes. While up 4-0 in a CTF CLASSIC 5. Oh Well, Bungie has BETA to watch out for now. They will never fix this problem for number 2 cause number 3 is in there hands right now getting ready for a beta release. They took my 4 bucks which could of been used on gas here where its 3.50, than 2 new maps i should of known i wasnt going to play. Thanks -blam!-s, for fixing the problem, without fixing it.

also, why did they fix bridging? if the banhammer works, then bridging shouldnt be a problem. i used to bridge so i know there would be a good, greenbar host. now, i go into MM and 4/5 games get a laggy host thats not even fun to play on. so they should at least try to fix the host selection so that the best connection gets host.

You just need to take a week or two and let everyone's ranks (listed or hidden) sort itself out. This is not the first time the ranks have been reset. However, I'm disappointed with mixing BTB Slayer and BTB Skirmish. I like to play slayer, some objective here and there is OK, but even 50% is too much (and it seems like I get more like 70% objective when I play the mixed playlists). Since Team Slayer is where all of the cheaters are, there is no other "slayer only" playlist left for me. An unranked "slayer only" playlist was awesome, because people had less reason to cheat (although some still did for whatever reason), and so BTB Slayer was perfect for my tastes. Less cheating, more players, it was awesome. I never had to wait that long for a game, and I don't see why I now have to play assult on Terminal every other game. It's very disappointing. Also, I think it was a mistake to include the new maps in Team Slayer. I wish I had not downloaded the updated versions, because it seems like every game I play is on the new maps (unless I have a player in the party who hasn't updated them). I really enjoyed Hang 'em high on CE, one of my favorites, but Tombstone, I must say, is my least favorite map at this point. Yes, including Backwash. If I wanted a game where I fire on and get fired on from across the map the whole game, I'd play Team Snipers (I don't ever play Team Snipers). It's just no fun. No fun at all. Frustrating, yes, fun, no. Anyway, the months following the H3 BETA are going to (I believe) revive H2 matchmaking even more than the recent news/leaks/etc. for the H3 BETA already has. I believe we'll see a lot of former H2 players coming back to brush up on their skills, especially after having the BETA for a while. I'm hoping we'll see at least one more playlist update prior to the H3 retail release.
