Bungie Weekly Update
Very, very short Weekly Update today, but some good news about failed Halo 2 map downloads, at the very least.

Awesome good stuff. Just a quick question for Bungie staff or perhaps anybody else in the know that may have already heard about this from some other article or forum post... Will the Halo 3 Beta keep the game stats, at least in such a form as we can view them from the website and have something to reminisce about while us working stiffs are away-from-console? Much obliged, in any case. The new maps are pretty dang spiffy, IMO. Keep up the good work!

Nice update, and lots of excitement, but I gotta ask... How did the invisible/invincable walls in Tombstone make it past the testers? One is to the Left of the "ramp,' and the other is near the shot-gun base under red-base. These are serious game-play issues, not to mention the other glitches. Certain Affinity made bueatiful/awesome maps (I love the pistol eater-egg on Tombstone), and they're given us a lot of custom fun so far, but these things need fixed if possible. It's understandable as they are a "new" company, but product quality is a must, expecially considering that people from our clan and my friends list (as well as everyone elses, I'm sure) are playing again after 3-6+ month vacations. I really hope that the glitches on the new maps get fixed before they're shipped off to matchmaking. Especially that one in Tombstone. You know what I mean... [Edited on 04.20.2007 5:51 PM PDT]

For not having a lot of information this was actually one of the most clear and informative updates in quite some time. I'm really hoping that all of the map downloading problems have been fixed because some of my best mates haven't been able to get them. Get those weak asss glitches fixed in the new maps too. Honestly, to the guys at CA, I can't understand how hundreds of people can find those glitches in a few hours but you and your playtesters couldn't find them.

what about the "Game Fuel" by Pepsi. they said it would be released in August along with Halo 3. is this true, halo 3 in august?

Thanks for the update. Short and (bitter?)sweet. I'm very interested in what that info is regarding the next future Bungie podcast. We've been waitin' on that forever. Looking forward to that FAQ regarding the Beta as well. I take it the Mister Chief on the News Page for the Humpday write-up was all we get this week, eh? The important thing to realize, I guess, is that a crazy-frantic week for you guys will hopefully translate into goodies for us.
