New Halo 2 Maps Revealed!
At last we reveal the two downloadable Halo 2 maps coming later this year. And no, it's not an April Fool's. Screens and info inside.

Modding is one thing but doing it on match-making is different. Ya know what I mean? Cuz Ive seen cuztom games with mods, and theyre pretty fun looking.....as long as they keep'em to them selves.

Why is that?[/quote] Because the Gears maps, just like the first Halo 2 map pack, was sponsered. Discovery Channel sponsered the Gears maps and Mountain Dew sponsered the first Halo 2 Map pack. This is not sponsered and it also costs money to make. They don't make these maps overnight. I am an amatuer map maker on Halo CE and I can tell you it takes a long time to make a map perfect.

So the gift cards WILL work??? Don't you have to have a name of the credit card holder. Gift cards are through banks mostly so what would the name be?

This is garbage. Why do we have to even pay for the maps...Gears of War came out and shortly after that they get FREE maps and we have to pay for 2 maps after the game is 2+years old. Why is that?

Mods aren't really the biggest problem anymore. Network manipulation cheating is far more damaging (especially because it screws with the host selection process for every game, not just games that have cheaters in them). Can I assume because it does not say exclusive anywhere that we expect to see these in Halo2Vista? Also everyone needs to calmdown about it costing money. Someone put in months of work to make those maps and you guys just feel entitled to rip them off? Grow up. Do you really want Shiska to be homeless?

CAVX gives a good suggestion - if you don't have or don't want to use a credit card in the old Xbox downloader that Halo 2 uses, once of those visa/mastercards that you can load with specific amounts of money would be excellent for this. Ya I guess so! ;) anyway, it was hard to see amongst the bummer news of it on the original xbox and I was thrown off, thinking I'd have to break out my xbox and never be able to use em on my 360 [Edited on 03.30.2007 11:08 AM PDT]

If you don't have a credit card, see my post above. 4) There is no four. The maps should be downloading to your 360.

But instead of marketplace, you go through your Halo 2 download manager. The problem is that many 360 owners no longer have credit cards tied to their accounts because it is not necessary and as we have recently seen, not safe either.

i agree whats wih the maps for the 360 and we cnt us mp wtf dude i didnt buy a 360 so i can go back in buying with cc and what about the new maps for 360 i thought it might be some cool graphix only 360 support and ya i dont care to much for the old halo maps becuase halo was to slow of a game and halo 2 is much better and peple complain about the glitches but to be honest thats what made the game double shots a BXR wow come on guys that made halo 2 and halo 2 is much better then halo except the sniper i like the sniper the look and the part u can still see who is coming when u scoping in so plz when u do the sniper in h3 plz for the love of god put that feature back in and come on frankie lets get a beta release plz
