I just don't get it. 343i is damned if they do, damned if they don't. There are problems with the game, that much is clear, but it's not bad. Too different from other Halo's and it loses the "Halo feel". Too similar and it's not innovative, or not keeping up with the times. Face it, this isn't 2004 or 2007, Halo 2 and 3 aren't coming back, no matter how bad any of us want it. In actuality, the market is just saturated with FPS anymore. Nothing is really going to change with any of the major franchises that will pull fans of one series over to another. The vast majority of gamers have already made up their mind on whether they're primarily Halo, CoD or Battlefield players. The mere fact that people are complaining about Halo 4 shows that the game is worthy of merit. If it wasn't worthy of some merit, the game would be unremarkable and not worth discussing. I will concede that 343i has showed their hands early in what appears to be some desperation. Maps are coming out earlier than originally anticipated...first map pack was to coincide with the first TU and ranking system in Q1 2013. That, and the fact that XBL users got their free gift of a marketplace code to unlock all the Spartan specializations early, which up until the weekend, had only been available to the players who bought the LE.
