You could've just had me explain it. I actually thought your comment was made just to be silly. Anyways, the Sun isn't going to experience a type-II supernova (The possibility of a type 1a is superbly slim, and it could only happen in several billion years once the Sun has evolved into a white dwarf). Stars with masses similar to our Sun simply eject their outer layers in their later evolutionary stages and leave a white dwarf remnant.
