Short, Scary Stories! 2 [Updated, 4.15.09]

This thread will have some stories from the books "Scary Stories to tell in the Dark" and "More Scary Stories to tell in the Dark" Enjoy.
The Big Toe A boy was digging at this edge of his family's garden when he saw a toe poking out from the dirt. He tried to dig it out of the dirt, but it was stuck to something. The boy gave a great tug and the toe came out of the ground. He then heard a groan and something scamper away. he showed the toe to his mom. She said, "This'll be great to add to the soup tonight." So, the mother cut the toe into 3 pieces and put them into the soup. Later that night, after the boy ate supper, he felt tired and went to bed. he was awakened at midnight by a groaning in the street. "Where is my to-o-o-o-o-e?" it groaned. The boy got very scared. But he thought, "He doesn't know where I am, it won't find me." Then the groan again, but it was in front of his house. "Where is my to-o-o-o-o-e?" the boy tried to sleep, he thought it was just his imagination. But then he heard the front door open, and he heard the groan again. "Where is my to-o-o-o-o-e?" The boy heard footsteps slowly move through the kitchen into the dining room, then into the living room. He then heard footsteps slowly climbing the stairs. Closer the footsteps came. They were right outside his door. "Where is my to-o-o-o-o-e?" The do0or opened. The boy was shaking with fear. He listened as the footsteps moved closer through the dark room to his bed. Then they stopped. "Where is my to-o-o-o-o-e?" The voice groaned...
The next few posts will be made by me, they are were future stories will be. I'm not trying to bump this thread, I'm only making it so that you can see more stories on this first page. [Edited on 01.01.2011 11:22 AM PST]

 •
Posted by: eddymon 117 I've got a pretty good ghost story. There was a guy who worked in a forest as a lumberjack. Every day he would ride his motorcycle to this forest to cut trees down and then he would go home again. So one day there was this huge storm. After cutting down all the trees he needed to cut down, he got on his bike and started driving home. About half way home he noticed a woman walking down the street. She looked about 25 or 30. Anyway she looked absolutely drenched in water and she was all pale and shivery. So the guy pulls up next to her and says, "Hey you look cold. Shall i drive you home?" "Oh, yes please." she replies. So she gets on the back of his bike. He starts driving. "WHERE DO YOU LIVE?" He shouts through the wind and rain. She tells him her address. So he focuses on the road and soon enough he gets her to the street she lives on. He pulls up to the house number she told him to before. He gets off his bike but when he looks at the back of his bike there is no one on it. He thought that she must have fallen off the back. He drives back to where he picked her up and all the way back to her house, but he doesn't find her. He rings her doorbell. An old lady opens the door. "Hello?" She says. So the guy explains what happened. "You must be mistaken young man." The old woman says. "Mistaken?" The guy says. "Well yes." Says the old woman. "My daughter died 5 years ago."
Scary but that sounds like a story from scary stories to tell in the dark but re-written im pretty sure you heard it and told it on here
