Hitzel, the mindset you mentioned in your second paragraph is the number one reason why I find Halo 3 to be so aggravating. Anyway, when I think about the idea you mentioned in the second half of your post I would have to say that both Halo 1 and Halo 2 follow that idea, Halo 1 with the pistol and Halo 2 with the BR. And it's an awesome idea.
