Spike Grenade
Robt. McLees again contributes to our latest preview of a new Halo 3 weapon. Read on for the UNSC's latest intel on the Brute's grenade of choice: The Type-2 Antipersonnel Fragmentation Grenade - or [i]spike grenade[/i], for short.

It would actually be rather funny if the Spike grenade could be used as a melee weapon before it was actually armed... you could beat the shields off an enemy and then stick it to them when they're exposed.

spike grenade sounds cool and all but maybe to powerful??? i mean not to make bungie feel bad or nothing but it migt make some people not like halo 3 anymore by the way the grenade would wipe out half the guys on the map.... hard to avoid 2. .

maybe not but the multiplayer game in halo2 added the elite as a character, whynot add a marine as well, all im saying is that we are discusing on a very improbable fact of the game here

I guess I got a LITTLE to exited and read it wrong. This weapon is going to rule. It's like that grenade they used in the fifth element. Bruce Willis like picks it up and turns a dial, setting how long it was going take to explode...and chunks it on to the ceiling. What an underrated movie. [Edited on 1/25/2007]

Ok hang on sorry guys I got it. It's from Bungies perspective..........sorry I got it. They mean "Spartans" as in the employees playing multi.....I don't know why they couldn't have put testers, staff, something other than Spartan(s)! And "our tactful marines" as in the AI marines in the campaign.....ok sorry I guess I read it too fast : P

[/quote] Yeah, man I got that, but when was the last time you saw a Marine in Multiplayer or heard of Marines discussing the Spartan Skrmishes they do in behind the barracks where they respawn billions of times......like never. I'm just saying it dosen't make sense.

Sure it does, but, we say spartans, meaning the effect it is going to have on your player in the game not talking about a story line here

Dude when they say spartans they are speaking more or less about multiplayer, not just the story mode, hey there is a good chance that halo 3 will have multiple spartans in the story line, but i wouldnt bet on it.

But the next sentence talks about "more tactful marines". So either; A) the mulitiplayer is in canon to the story to some degree, somehow. B) the plain jane marines will be in multiplayer or C) neither and there will be more spartans in the story. One has to be true. I'm going with A.

I dont know much about this because im just a new player but i think it works good because the grenades are always stuck to me.
