Spike Grenade
Robt. McLees again contributes to our latest preview of a new Halo 3 weapon. Read on for the UNSC's latest intel on the Brute's grenade of choice: The Type-2 Antipersonnel Fragmentation Grenade - or [i]spike grenade[/i], for short.

YAY!" though. I just said phrases like "In the UNSC’s limited encounters", "Our researchers have discovered", and "Our soldiers" in the bottom half of the article still seem to be written the UNSC's perspective. Though it's probably unintentional since I guess the dude who wrote it says otherwise.

Yeah well the spike grenade sounds almost like it could take its tole on almost any enemy, will these grenades like be rare too find during combat cus I think it will be funny to watch it destroy an enemy in a very painful way.

If a Spike Grenade or any other grenade is thrown at a glass window, will the glass shatter? Because if a Spartan or Covenant soldier hurl the device with their great strength at the glass, it should break. It didn't in Halo 2. Which is fake. But whatever, nice update on the Spike Grenade!

There has to be a downsize to this grenade. Maybe it isn’t effective against vehicles. I mean it shoots out like spike things. A plasma or a frag I understand damaging a vehicle, but tiny spike things?

I think the Russian made something like this in WW2. They cover a grenade in metal. When it explodes, peices of shrapanel flies everywhere

Yea this all sounds cool, but I don't think it should be able to stick to shielded Spartans and Elites and the Brute's armour. Because then its pretty much an improved plasma grenade (kills on stick and has mine-like uses). And I don't want the plasma grenade to be phased out of use.

I think it is wicked awesome, but I wish it looked less like a HELICOPTER and more like a normal grenade. Also, I wish that it exploded in sphere shape instead, but besides that it is still wicked awesome.
