Possible Destiny Announcement/Trailer Debut dates
Alright, here are some of the game conventions and their dates that are coming up in 2013, these are in no particular order:
We got the GDC (Game Developers Conference): March 25-29

Next we have PAX East: March 22-24

Then of course we have E3 2013: June 11-13

Now personally I don't think it will debut at E3, I think June is WAY to late to announce a 2013 game. Also they might not even announce it first at a game conference, they may announce it here on Bungie.net! (I wish). Or on TV, or something. Discuss here, where/when do you think Destiny will be announced?
Also I'm sure there are more, please add them in the comments below and I'll ad them here.

I believe we'll have an announcement trailer between February and the end of March (after the Winter Pentathlon finishes and before/during PAX East).

I believe that very soon we will get an announcement trailer. After that we will not see much more gameplay or new info outside of what they hint at. From there probably at E3 and some other conventions we will get a new trailer. But There should be an announcement trailer this month.

If it doesn't ship on the xbox 360/PS3, it is not going to come out for several more years. You really think all the work and programming they have done up to this point will just be scrapped to re-make the game for a new console? Also that timeframe is a terribly short amount of time to advertise for a game and get sales.

Supposedly the new Xbox is gonna hit shelves Q4 of this year (has a date for November, but we'll see). So anytime before that seems likely. if the next gen system gets pushed back to early 2014, we could even see a reveal trailer at this years VGAs. I'm becoming more and more accepting that the next Xbox will come out this fall 2013. Destiny will undoubtedly launch on it. This makes me believe that we won't get a real gameplay trailer til E3 when the actual consoles have been announced. I foresee a small teaser similar to Reach's in the coming months.

We're not %100 percent sure the game is going to be released this year, games get pushed back all the time. Despite this, I think we will see a teaser trailer within the next 3 months.

Expect something on or before February 9, 2013. That is the day when Activision has their conference call, and the last two years they have mentioned Bungie's new game during that time.
