•
Posted by: Modern Designer
Posted by: ABotelho
Posted by: Modern Designer It's a disorder because it goes against the necessary qualification of life which is reproduction. Sure they have the absolute, but lack the drive, which is a neurological disorder. Pretty simple.
Why does that make it a disorder? Even if it was a disorder, why should that stop them from having the rights of others? Some people are born infertile. Should they not be allowed to marry? Others are born paralyzed making them unable to reproduce. Should they not be able to marry? What about the individuals who choose to not reproduce? Should they be unable to marry as well?
Well infertile people still have the drive, but not the capability. They have a physical disorder but not a mental disorder. That criteria makes it okay for them to marry. Paralyzed people can to, but I don't see how that would work out well. As for the people who choose not to have kids, that's okay.
But -blam!--blam!-ity and bi-blam!-ity are not a mental disorder. Even if they were, we still let people with mental disorders marry. Why is this one different? Correct me if I'm wrong
Yeah, you're wrong. Disabilities like paraplegia are caused by accidents and need necessarily compensation and support. -blam!--blam!-ity is just a disorder that shouldn't be condoned in any way. Support and condoning are two different things. Basically giving them the right to marry is like saying -blam!--blam!-ity is okay.
Ok, but you do understand that ghey people have a right to be happy like the rest of us? They were born that way and they can't help it, and they will always be like that. So why deny them rights and make life harder for them?
Actually that's a good point.
:) See, people just need to open their eyes :)

 • When I was younger, like in my teens, I was. Since then I have grown out of it. I didn't understand the LGBT culture. Becuase of that I invented myths about what they did, and how they wanted to bring everyone into it.Then I met some people who were LGBT. I saw that they were really no different than me. At least not very different. Its stupid to hate someone who effects you not in the least. hate the politicians who take your tax money and do nothing for it, or the big corporations who just shipped your jobs to India. The LGBT community really just wants to be treated like everyone else and left alone. They are not looking at your butt when you walk by, nor will they try to make you -blam!- if you walk down the wrong alley. Stop stressing. Odds are you are to poorly dressed and out of shape for them to like you anyways.

 • Fun fact: The APA hasn't classified homo-blam!-ity or bi-blam!-ity as a mental illness since the mid 70's. Link

Unless you truly mean afraid of them. That word is thrown around way too much. Not a homophobe but not supportive of same sex couples either.
Is anyone actually homophobic? Like, genuinely afraid of same-sex couples? "Homophobe" is just slightly nicer than "bigoted douche bag"
And "traditional and moral" is just slightly nicer than "bigoted douche bag"... But hey, to each their own. This world would be a boring place if we were all the same.
It doesn't make you smart that you think the suffix phobia refers solely to fear, it makes you ignorant because that's not what it means Also not going to waste my time explaining the extremely obvious fact that something that harms no one at all cannot be immoral because if you can't see that in the first place then I just don't even know where to begin [Edited on 12.12.2012 9:42 AM PST]

 • Everybody can make their own choices. My friend is pan-blam!-, she doesn't care who she is with she takes everyone. I guess because sex to her is like her religion. Practices it all the time so she likes to explore.
Why is it a disorder? And even if it was, what's the harm in it? Are you physically hurt? Is it not law to accommodate for people such as paraplegics?
It's a disorder because it goes against the necessary qualification of life which is reproduction.
