Additional responsibilities include hopper management and synthesizing community feedback and player data to inform gameplay recommendations. - Work with the Sustainment Team to maintain multiplayer experiences by recommending optimizations based on community feedback and player data
- Work across several additional teams to ensure quality
- Provide regular formal and informal matchmaking updates to the community across multiple channels
- Maintain a healthy relationship with the community and its varied subsets

There comes a time where you have to do what you can to continue to be successful. With the current "state of Halo", or more specifically competitive Halo, this is his best route. You simply aren't going to be successful enough to live off of in the competitive Halo scene.

Wow, lots of dramatic posts here. This is [i]one guy[/i] being hired as [i]part of a team[/i]. I never heard of the guy before this thread either, and I'm as casual and skill-less as they come in Halo, but I can't really see a bad side to it. Even if he does skew pretty hard toward "competitive" that'll have an influence over, what, a playlist or two? So there might be a couple of playlists geared more toward a type of gameplay that isn't really represented in Halo 4 yet, without losing anything that's already there. How is including the preferences of another sub-community - [i]in addition to, not instead of[/i] - among all the others that currently have their playlist going to be a bad thing? If the guy was just going to have complete control over the whole thing, then I'd get it, but that's simply not the case.
