Forward Unto Dawn series Opinions.
So what do you guys think of the series so far?
I like it a lot and I look forward to seeing the next episodes and to see where they are going to take it and I like how they are done. Yes there is little things here and there. The guys are all young actors as well, but I think they are doing a good job so far.
So yeah what are your guys opinions?

It would have been better to make sure to be true to a lot of stuff. But they did it how they wanted to and not everything is going to be perfect and the way everybody else wants its. Thats why they did a great job for what they made. And you learn by doing it so you find out what works and what doesn't. [Edited on 11.02.2012 1:57 PM PDT]

Acting in the end scene on the Pelican was awkward as heck. And them calling John "Master Chief" was pointless and broke canon again, as at this point every Spartan was a Petty Officer 2nd Class, I can see him being Chief Petty Officer, hence them calling him "Chief", but going from E-5 to E-9 in less than a year is just silly on 343's part. We can gather that the guy wearing Master Chief's armor, with Master Chief's number on it, talking like Master Chief, and using Master Chief's weapons, is Master Chief, or eventually will be. Calling him that before he's actually earned it is silly, and breaks the hearts of loretards like me. Why not just have him say "Just call me John?" That and yeah, the cadet armor looked freaking dumb. I could understand a bit of artistic liberty, or accept the idea that CAMS uses a special armor for training, but during the episode we see actual MARINES wearing Halo 3 style BDUs. And if the CAMS students are wearing training armor, yet have access to real weapons, why would they not put on actual Marine armor to y'know, save them from Needler shards? Incidentally, that death was BS, the needle would have heated up and sealed the wound, and if they'd just left the damn shard in she would have lived. On a semi-related note, that biofoam looked like cream cheese. I'd give it a 7/10. Decent acting. Decent premise, neither of the actors looks like Lasky from the game, so that failed terribly, but oh well.

I had just finished watching an episode of NTFS:SD:SUV, which made me think that about thiry seconds of the Warthog scene was a parody of Halo. Especially with that jump-scare at 01:30. Episode 3 was ok, I'd give it six or seven out of ten. The other episodes weren't that good. Note: I do not count the intros with Cortana.

Finally Got to finish it.. It was awesome! I thought the series was really well done. The part with the Chief Killing the Hunter is pretty awesome.

Almost shed a tear during that ending. Almost. Gotta keep up my manly appearance. Overall, Forward Unto Dawn was pleasing. Looking forward to seeing what my LE adds to it. Also wondering what happens to Sullivan and that other girl. Orenski or something.

Before this episode I thought that the Storm simply looked different cause they somehow had different physiology and equipement than the other Elites, Grunts, etc, that we are used to seeing, but now I see that they're just another reimagination/redesign of the Covenant; that they've always looked like they do in FUD and Halo 4.

[/quote] Yeah I kinda agree some of his lines aren't the best. I think its the fact its 60lbs and the actor isn't the master chief himself. The amour isn't fitted to the body like the its described in the books. But I think They did an awesome job on it and the actor is doing a good job working with it.

I really have a problem with the Chief's personality in the series. In my opinion, some of the things he has said makes it seem like he is almost trying to show off. I for one was happy with the Chief who barely spoke. Also, as someone else has said his body language does seem a bit strange, might just be a result of wearing the awkward extra weight of the armor. Aside from that I have really enjoyed it, hopefully if they ever do bust out a film one day they will perfect Master Chief a little more.

for those upset about the storm armour, apparently at the start of the war the elites used it since the storm faction uses old tech (armour) it can be said at the start of the war what we see is new
