Curiosity finds life on mars! Not a fake topic!

Proof (With picture) : http://www.chronicle.su/news/curiosity-rover-finds-fossil-evidence-of-life-on-mars/ Not little green men, but a fossilized coral reef, which may or may not even be fossilized yet. Was discovered when Curiosity found evidence of a once waist-deep streamline. [Edited on 10.09.2012 10:18 AM PDT]

 • Well, Mars apparently did have some oceans before, so it makes sense. I hope that there is still life on Mars. edit: Aww, that's just disappointing. =( [Edited on 10.09.2012 4:32 PM PDT]

 •
Posted by: EnragedAUSTIN11
Posted by: RockdaleRooster Well, that's more than I had expected them to find. I expected it to be single cell organisms or something like that. NVM it's fake. Still wouldn't be terribly surprised if they found some single cell organism.
I still think I remember in a book I saw in the Library that there was a meteor that landed on Earth that had Fossils of microscopic organisms in it. It was a non-fiction science book.
You're thinking of ALH 84001, a quite famous meteorite. To my knowledge, whether there is evidence of microscopic life on it is still debated.

 •
Posted by: x Foman123 x Extremely sketchy link. Extremely sketchy story. Will wait for confirmation from a real news source.
Pretty much this. I searched the internet for more sources...and this and another "sketch" site were the only ones that came up bearing this story. Not to mention the content of the story focuses less on the actual "discovery" and more on the social controversy and gung-ho behind what such a discovery would entail. In other words, yes this seems pretty fake.

 • Lolno. They found something that was "bright" and of interest. No proof yet that it was a fossil. Could be anything, but it's definitely interesting. Edit: Just read it turned out to be plastic. Lol. [Edited on 10.09.2012 5:10 PM PDT]
