Any regrets for Halo Reach?
In other words, are there any things you want to do in Halo Reach but never got around to it?
For me it was probably making a map. With the new(now old) forge system, especially in forge world. I wanted to make a obstacle course or something but I guess I never had the forge skillz or patience.

For underestimating it so badly. Not just because I bought the Legendary Edition, but now that I'm coming back to Halo after taking a leave and exploring other games: I've learned to appreciate Halo more than I had before. I mean sure, it's got its problems here and there, but nothing's perfect! I like Reach, and I hope that it still has players in the future.

I would say that 10% of games in a server browser end up being a waste of time. I refuse to acknowledge that 90% of games would have you spawning into kill balls. It makes no sense. Although I said 90% of you are not worthy of my friendlist. That's only because 90% of you think your -blam!- don't stink and you talk alot of -blam!- when you have you Mic plugged in. Just cause 90% of you have a big mouth, doesn't mean 90% of you are lame enough to flood a server browser list with games not worth playing. I trust that the 90% do want to play a game, not have people join just to immediately leave... whats the point of that? Even from a trolling perspective. It's no fun if nobody sticks around. DUH![/quote] Because spending a [b]huge[/b] amount of time sifting through different servers just to find a map that isn't complete garbage is convenient... The only thing that could fix that would be to have a rating system on each server, but even that would be flawed because it would introduce a ton of bias and any new servers would have a difficult time grabbing anyone's attention since they would lack a rating; your scenario from before would occur and no one would pay attention to your maps.

Custom server browser allowing custom maps = incredibly easy griefing experience. 9/10 games would be people constantly spawning into killballs.

TL:DR I regret that Halo has to have a community with it's priorities so far out of wack.. You raised your voices loud enough to make them tweak bloom. But you are too stupid to raise your voices to get a server browser. And some of you are too stupid to realize how superior a server browser is. And some of you, act as though server browsers are nothing but trolls hosting everything. Some of you straight up LIE about getting kicked left and right from every server you ever try to join. In the 20+ years that I have been taking advantage of Server Browsers on the PC. I've been unfairly kicked out of 2 servers in my entire lifetime of PC gaming. [Edited on 10.05.2012 1:25 PM PDT]

Oh, and one more thing. Your forgehub list.. is no better than MS, Bungie and 343 confining me to my friends list. In fact.. It's the same -blam!- scenario. I'm being confined to a select handful of people. I DON'T PAY FOR XBOX LIVE TO BE CONFINED TO MY FRIENDS LIST! I like playing against "NEW" people. What happenes when you play the same people over and over and over again? IT GETS -blam!- BORING! Because I've seen their tactics, I know how they play already. I want Unique opponents. Imagine if all of the internet followed the model that Bungie layed out for us... as far as that Bottleneck goes. Youtube... You must first submit your video to someone working at google before anyone could ever see your video. It must be approved by that person. Now imagine 1 BILLION people submitting videos to this person who has to approve it for you. What do you think the chances are of your video getting approved? How long do you think it will take for that person to actually get around to looking at your video?

To educate you people and to shove your nose in the pile of -blam!- you left behind. Also.... Trying to say, I've been living under a rock? You don't know the meaning of the phrase. Here's the equivalent of living under a rock, as far as Halo goes. Signing up to a 3rd party Forum, browsing through a list of which is mostly outdated except for maybe that last half of the list. Spamming invites to those people, waiting for them to accept the invites. Chatting, scheduling a time frame. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc ONLY to finally finish the map just to submit it to a -blam!- bottleneck. Of which, most likely, my map would never see the light of day in matchmaking because it would not follow an "OFFICIAL" guidline for the type of crap they put in playlists. I would never ever care to submit to a bottleneck. EVER! Just look at the playlists and what they have consisted of. Just about anything I create, would probably be immediately rejected by whatever REJECTS they have controlling the playlists. Because they are that -blam!- stupid. And the proof is in the playlists. IE. MY BTB map, will not have EVERY -blam!- VEHICLE in the game. It's going to be very specific. Like Warthogs only. Unfortunately, the Rejects in control of the playlists have a HARD ON for stupid -blam!- like BTB Heavies. I have no confidence in the "Bottleneck" of creativity.
