Why do lots of older member have such un original names?
Considering that you made accounts such long times ago, why are there so many older accounts with numbers added onto the end. Surely all the good names wouldn't have been taken back then.
I'm talking 4years onward old.
Yes my name does have numbers but apparently someone had already made the name ankerd before my brother made this account.
So tell me, why do you have the name you do? and what other names did you try and get, before settling for your current?

Huh, I guess Bungie's webteam has a purpose for that reasoning. It seems to me like the best thing would be to make accounts expire when the WLID expires. Then again, I don't know their inner workings.

I also had another E-mail expire and it got deleted and my other Alt is gone forever. I actually made two account with the same e-mail. In a way it was a new email because it got deleted so I could take the name again. For you people wondering why I have so many alts is because every time I get a new xbl account I'd put the septagon by my name and in order to do that one has to make an account here on Bungie.net.

If I'm reading that right... does that mean the the WLID account can expire, but the Bungie account will always remain?

It was late one night, and I had just opened the case for Halo CE for the PC. As I was about to enter my username, a knock came on the door. Twice. And thus the name was born. I have used it ever since.

Wouldn't call myself old, and I'm barely still a member, but FatherBucky has been my online alias since 8th grade. I believe that's when I created this account as the forerunner to all of my aliases to come. It just works and I haven't met any other Bucky's let alone FatherBucky's.

I think its because we all registered before sticking a random number of x and X before and after your name was cool. And switching out letters for numbers. Me in 2012; xXxMLGf1AM3dud3xXx

Since I have a pretty number intensive name I guess that this applies to me, even if I haven't hit 4 years yet. What's really weird is that once new people join for Destiny many of them won't get what my name comes from...

Coup sucks. A lot of names were taken back in the day, just like today people would make accounts just to take original names. With the account deletion period wiped it's probably only going to get worse (not that it really mattered anyway) [Edited on 09.17.2012 5:50 PM PDT]
