Inspired by Ender's Game?

I've started reading this book as I've heard any sci-fi person should read this mandatory. Anyway, is it just me or does anyone else feel like Bungie must have a high admiration for this book? It takes many ideas from it. It's not a clone by any matter, but it definately uses several of its ideas.

 •
Posted by: ODST27
Posted by: flamedude Bungie have acknowledged Enders Game and Ringworld as major influences on the Halo story. And why not, they are awesome. I'm really hoping that Halo: Reach will have an Enders Shadow feel to it, showing a new side to the Spartan story.
Was that really good? I've only read "Ender's Game", "Speaker for the Dead", "Xenophobia", and "Children of the Mind". I stopped after them cause I got too tired of the same universe.
If you are a massive Ender fan then I'd definitely recommend Enders Shadow. If you liked the battle school style storylines then you will really like Enders Shadow, the Shadow books are very much military oriented. I think there are 4 books in the Shadow storyline, so it might be worth spreading that out so you don't get too tired of the franchise. I was really bored of Ender by the time I got to Chidren of the Mind too. There is a new one out apparently.... Ender in Exile. Its between Enders Game and Speaker.
