Inspired by Ender's Game?
I've started reading this book as I've heard any sci-fi person should read this mandatory.
Anyway, is it just me or does anyone else feel like Bungie must have a high admiration for this book? It takes many ideas from it. It's not a clone by any matter, but it definately uses several of its ideas.

Halo is inspired by a lot of things. Such as the Halo rings; they were inspired by Iain M. Banks' Orbital culture books as well as Ringworld. Iain Banks is a great author. I've had the privilege to stay at his house as a young child, due to relations through marriage. (Shame I was too young to read properly back then, I would have loved to ask him questions.)
