Inspired by Ender's Game?

I've started reading this book as I've heard any sci-fi person should read this mandatory. Anyway, is it just me or does anyone else feel like Bungie must have a high admiration for this book? It takes many ideas from it. It's not a clone by any matter, but it definately uses several of its ideas.

 •
Posted by: ODST27
Posted by: burritosenior YES YES YES. One of the best books ever written and yes. Also think about this: Mass Effect. The Noveria level. That entire plotline is an exact copy of Ender's Game practically.
Wait....what? Did I miss something while reading Ender's Game or playing ME? And yes, it is the second best book ever written, and it's sequels are awesome too. And I think anything that has child soldiers is playing off the idea of the Greek Spartans.
the HOW they are fighting off the aliens comes from the greek spartans. the WHY comes from Ender's game. If that makes sense.
