I can't believe people in here are arguing to pay $80 for $150 worth of content. >Halo 4 game $60 >90 min extended edition full DVD of F.U.D. $20-$30. >3 planned DLC maps $10 each =$30. >Pamphlet presumably at least $10. >Avatar clothing and virtual stuff like skins and emblems about $30 bought separately. $150. Don't like it don't buy it you cheapskates!
Posted by: PublicToast The only thing that worries me is that you're paying for the map packs before playing the game and even before they come out, therefore you cannot judge whether or not you want the map packs. I'll probably wait till' E3 to make my decision.
Yes because they will reveal ALL the DLC maps at E3. Seriously though, you shouldn't spend 100 bucks on a game you aren't sure about no matter the exclusives.
Posted by: Tanner113 Specialization unlocks? That sounds a lot like the shortcut bundles for Battlefield.
No it doesn't. Those were paying for your rank. These look like different options for when you level up.

I go to the Flood forum for my Halo news. You guys work better than IGN and Halo Waypoint.

Too much exclusive DLC (which is any amount of exclusive dlc) and not enough IRL items.
One reason this could be is because they are just starting the trilogy themselves and don't want to go over the top just yet with Halo 4.
Eh, it wouldn't hurt to throw in a sound track and an art book though.
That I would definitely agree on. Also, just got back from upgrading to it :p Another thing, I'm waiting on the pre-order bonus announcement because one of the gamestop employees told me they are waiting for what it is as they were told there was going to be one.
a weapon skin or armor skin...thats my guess
Posted by: Elder Bias Wow, you guys are incredibly poor at reading comprehension. NOWHERE it says that it is DAY ONE DLC. No, have you heard of Gears of War 3's Season Pass? This is purely similar to this limited edition of Halo 4. Which it means that you are basically pre ordering DLCs which, * simplified English for tools* it is basically free to download if you have purchased Limited Edition. It's still fair because you're basically paying $30 for DLC maps just like those people who get it later after release of Halo 4. Let me break it for you: $60 for retail game plus shiny steel case $30 for DLC maps $10 for extra swaggies like Infinity packet, specializations, entire -blam!- ninety minutes of live action video on Halo 4: Foward unto Dawn sequence and in game content like unique SPARTAN-IV armor, unique ASSAULT RIFLE SKIN, avatar set of SPARTAN-IV armor, props. Which, it equals to be: $100. Not hard for you guys to understand the simple math. I'm disappointed at Floodian's lack of reading comprehension and jumping to hasty conclusions without proper analytic assertions.
This. Lots of kids in here cant read, they better stay in school.

Definitely going to get it.
Posted by: omg a bannana Seriously? Wow they sold out with the you gets maps before anyone else thing.
No you do not. You prepay for later DLC. ^^I do hope you're joking. Aesthetic customization wasn't in Halo 2. Did Halo 3 ruin the franchise forever? Nope. If you're serious: how do you get any enjoyment from life if you're that picky? Weapon skins? I'm done. RIP old buddy

Not pre-ordering.
-
Cool. Will buy.
-
ming=blown WANT
-
BLAM! I realy want that, I guess I'll just get every bit of data I can about Halo 4 until now and the last possible tie to purchase it. There is still the fear that Halo will be -blam!-.
-
I'm getting it but only because I'll be getting the DLC anyway.
-
Hmm... I might wait for E3 to see if it is absolutely worth it. It's nice to have the option to buy all DLC from day 1. It's really, REALLY, nice.
-
Seriously? Wow they sold out with the you gets maps before anyone else thing.
-
When you consider that each of those map packs will probably be 800MSP ($10), if you buy the game day 1, and get all those map packs day 1, that's already $90. Might as well go ahead and pay an additional $10 to get all the other stuff too, which ain't bad. Only getting this for that reason.

Specialization unlocks? That sounds a lot like the shortcut bundles for Battlefield.

Welp, time to look for a job for the summer.
Posted by: bergXX09 >Buy advantage over others >Pre-planned DLC Lol yup, not getting this game. I might play it at a friend's house but you tards who buy it (limited edition) are just proving that the gaming community is stupid and will buy anything that the gaming companies spew out. Clearly the gaming company doesn't NEED the money from these hundreds of DLC's as seen by Valve who -blam!-s everything out for free and is still one of the most successful companies AND they use I'm not supporting this cash cow.
Calm your bumhole, you won't be missing out on anything. They are adding a season pass like GOW3.Owners of the special edition will not have exclusive DLC.

WHO CARES about a special armor or weapon skin? NO ONE. Plus they did this with Reach (Elite skin and Blue Flames) and no one cared then either.
